Anybody else seeing a huge increase in triples this year? I’m seeing it in a variety of modes — RS, BR, MtO, RttS. I’m not sure if the fielders are slower or if the runners are faster, but I am seeing a very noticeable increase in just about every game.

I do remember feeling like the defensive players felt a bit “sluggish” in the beta. I don’t exactly feel it to the same extent in the final game, but it could still be that they’re just moving slower than last year. It could also be that I’m cray.

I have not seen a great number of triples yet. The Brewers team does not have a very fast number of base runners.

I'm seeing more triples simply because outfielders aren't getting to line drive to the gaps as much.

I wonder if that’s how they solved the line out problem? Just make the outfielders slower?

I recall in one of the Dev streams how they talked about different fielder animations based off their stats. Think it was the 1st or 2nd Twitch stream.

So diamond fielders with good reaction numbers would get a better jump on [censored].

Therefore, fielders with lower stats would get different animations and have slower reactions.

We're seeing more because the outfielders AREN'T getting those artificial speed boosts that have plagued us the last few years.
