Slow pitching graphics

So I was playing somebody online and the gameplay was perfectly smooth every time up until I pitched and as soon as I released the ball, the gameplay would slow down and you could easily tell where the pitch location was and read the pitch easily. I don’t know if I’m just crazy or if it was a glitch or what but has anybody else dealt with this

Pitcher is only one to see that.batter sees it normally. you are faster than opponent and its slowing down to compensate.
info from devs from 2 years ago- which is when it started happening.
