Cards like ashburn and aparicio and how they should work

If they are gonna keep putting out cards like this, and we have these two, lofton, hamilton, carew, puckett and gwynn for example, well they need to fix how they hit.
These guys knew they didn't hit it over people so they hit it around people.
But this game is built only on hitting it over people.
The aparicio mission sucked until I realize oh perfect/perfect is an automatic out so I need to be late to flair a bloop or early to hit some skanky little squirter that makes it's way through.
But this isn't how they played. They actively "steered" the ball to getting hits. See where they aren't? Hit it there.
If these high contact low power cards had a better ability to hit around fielders they would be worth putting in your lineup.
And sure. lofton and hamilton work because they are fast as F.
But gwynn and all his silver slugger bats is [censored] near useless.
