transfering my DD team from xbox one to my new PS5?

how does it work if i play on current gen but im getting a new next gen console? does my DD team that ive been building tranfer and if so how does that work?

Yes. Go on the game and link it here. You will make a log in here separate from you actual log in when you hit link account. Then links your Xbox account. Make sure you read carefully. Do not link the one that says start over. Then you go on ps5 and link account. This time coming on here and choosing the PlayStation and make sure again you do not choose the one that says start over. Boom and done.

Look at the link below under "How do I link my accounts". If you link your PSN and Xbox accounts through the MLB The Show account, you can take advantage of cross progression. I use it for switching back and forth between my PS5 and Series S. Just make sure that you follow the directions. There have been a lot of people that made the MLB The Show account the primary which wiped out progress.

Ummm, can you link two accounts from two seperate brands of consoles?
He said he's going from Xbox to PS5.
I'm assuming he would have to buy that console's version of the game and make a new ID on that console.
Or am I wrong?
Also, I'm assuming he didn't already have a PS4 and a copy of the game
