I don't play RTTS at all, am I good to sell the equipment (bats, glasses, etc.) and perks? Trying to raise that Trout $$$

Yeah you're good. I cleared out my inventory a few nights ago and made some serious coin. I was able to finish off the Cardinals and take a Mookie-Sized chunk out of the Dodgers.

If you don't play RTTS or you are not planning make your CAP player, you can sell everything, as I did

If anyone has done a lot of the season 2 TA, make sure to do the bat and uniform collections. I think I got over 15k from them and the items are all no sell anyway.
