Question about online and offline pitch speeds
-
Online and offline don't play the same but don't ever question it. Nothing to see here, move along.

I'm not talking about the game play as online presents other variables. I'm just talking pitch speeds. I think the speeds you see on legend in DD should be the same you see for play cpu, custom practice, etc.
-
He’s right if I want to practice online all star pitch speeds, all star practice mode is not the option.

Could have something to do with internet speed. Other than that I'm not sure.

Universal pitch speeds should be a thing.
no speed change from conquest to moments to events to RS.universal speeds. -
Agree, I think this is why a lot of people either stick with offline play or online play. It’s too frustrating to think you have pitch speed timed and then change modes and be early/late.

Why doesn't the pitch speeds on practice, play cpu, etc match the online pitch speeds. Why isn't HOF/Legend offline the same as online? I know you can adjust sliders but doesn't make any sense why these wouldn't match.
Your superior internet broke the coding of the game. No one else has this issue, for us, all game modes and all difficulties have the exact same pitch speed. True story.

It is frustrating. If you go to practice mode on legend, and then go to all star online and its even faster, there is an issue. I hate bouncing back and forth between HOF and all star and having to adjust every other game, then going to practice mode and having to adjust again. Hitting is all about timing and its almost impossible to do if speeds are all over the place.

Maybe some day you'll be able to come up with something else.
So you are telling me I can score 27 runs against cpu on legend but usually can't score 5 on HOF online but HOF online is slower? Not on my screen.

I swear the pitch speeds were faster on all star this weekend in ranked seasons than the events on hall of fame.

This has always been my one complaint against not enjoying playing online as a heavy offline user. Timing windows cause a 100 MPH FB to look one speed offline and insanely faster online. Even on the same difficulties.

SHOW has always been like this. Offline pitch speeds feel right, and gameplay is smooth. Go online for some RS, its like a different game im playing.
Anyone else run into this problem here; Online RS, going up versus highspeed pitchers 99+ , throws high and in, and you try to swing and it feels like the game skips a couple frames during the swing and whiff. THIS really what pisses me off

Well, for years I have been requesting a ping indicator at the lineup or pitching rotation screen. For some reason, SDS doesn't want to come to the 20th century. Practically every online game these days has a ping indicator because it can greatly enhance the players experience and also provides feedback. Wouldn't surprise me if top players would ping yellow or red if done correctly. I would be curious.
I'm still trying to figure out why I am always getting matched with people with east coast names. I am in the midwest. Can we not find someone closer than 1,200 miles?

You've been spouting the internet garbage for years, why do I need to refresh my material already? Mine is still a small infant compared to your years of service!

Connection issues are still a problem with this game. Have been for years. I'm just pointing out issues with the game. Oh, because I am not 130-5 means they don't exist. I get it.

I believe it’s latency. Sometimes I play at 99 looks like a beach ball and other times it looks 119 mph

Just had one of those 119 mph games. Struck out 31 times in 12 innings.

Yep. All star online feels like hof offline most of the time. I think the online pitching is 1 step higher than it says online or they have the sliders up on velocity for online play

they use to have the ping indicator in older versions would be visible in the old lobbies.

It’s the tv to monitor, the timing is response time it’s about 5-10 seconds on a tv average could vary but for most TVs. The monitor can slow the pitch speed down or so it seems it’ll effect timing big time. I’d suggest getting a game monitor of about 1 second delay. I had this problem and was solved with monitor. Plus I practice by going to my sliders setting and put it all the way up and on legend to get an idea of online speed.
