It certainly didn’t help it. People that don’t know how to pitch probably like it though.
Dude stop. "People who don't know how to pitch probably like it" lmao. The game forced pitches with good input down the middle in 18, 19 and 20. The guys who liked that were the scrubs who can't hit pitches on the black and have to wait for those cookies down the middle to be somewhat successful. I'm not gonna make assumptions which category your or OP fit, but take a good long look on the mirror and decide for yourself.
So to you the opposite of that was to put it in the exact same spot every time with such a simplistic system? Then when your opponent hits it’s just random output? Okay. I just always base my opinion on the fact that gamers nowadays, and after 8 years in sports games especially sports gamers, win at every cost and want to cheese as much as possible so if something new is added to the game and the majority of people like it then it probably isn’t good for the actual game. If a YouTuber found a way to bunt for a base hit every time 100% right now that is all you would see online until it was patched.
And I’m alright at the game. Would be better if I enjoyed it online. In actual games I’m probably 80% win and would be higher if I cared to enough stick around. I pitch with analog by the way and still think it’s too easy compared to the randomness of hitting. But it is what it is. And that’s the game.
If you can hit pitches in every location, it doesn't matter if your opponent can throw accurate pitch after accurate pitch. However, If you can't hit every pitch in every location, then yes you have something to complain about. Case and point I would assume.
So you telling me sinker up and in is real baseball ? telling me being patient at the plate ... looking for a pitch you can drive , forcing pitchers in fastball counts ...man this isnt even baseball its all about who can put the PCi on the ball at any locations ... why take any pitches then there is no point because anybody can spot a offspeed in a fastball count.... you just a stupid fkin gamer ... not a baseball fan gtfo lol
No I didn't say any of those things so don't put words in my mouth. But you can hit those up and in sinkers just as hard as any other pitch. So I would highly advise you to hit that batting cage instead of complaining about something that isn't an issue - your lack of ability to hit pitches is the real issue.

Because for every player that can consistently hit that pitch there are probably 25 that can’t. Add in that connectivity and frame rate really impacts high velocity inside pitches and quite often those pitches are unhittable.
I want tweaks. Up and in sinkers being the best pitch needs to go. In the dirt curveballs and chamges need to be more effective.
I think pinpoint though is straight cheese to the point of running 4 verticals in madden.

I never enjoyed when my perfect input led to a meatball, but pinpoint once you get it seems to be almost automatic. There should be some pitch drift…not a meatball but it shouldn’t always be right on the corner.

Well I guess we're gonna have to agree to disagree on that. Sinkers have always rules The Show, that's a fact and it won't change anytime soon. The beauty of this game though, is that you can actually practice it to become better at it. You can't stop 4 vert cheese in Madden sometimes, even with the best CB's.

Pitchers don’t throw FBs in FB counts anymore; FB % is declining every year and is at an all time low. There’s always a pitch or two that your opponent will hang, a low CB or CH that is in the bottom of the zone that he wanted in the dirt... last year was horrific with perfect input on sliders low and outside that would just sail in the middle of the plate. This year the PPP whiners like you are less than 1% of the meatballs complaints we had last year.
-
Im not saying pitches should be meat ball but have some of them miss a little... and have some offspeed pitches have less break sometimes..... Man in real life some can struggle to even find the zone ... Here everybody is Greg Maddux on steroid... draw walks ? thats out of the game almost completely lol... fastball count ? here comes the offspeed on the corner lol
Like i said it all started with people crying that they wanted perfect output which is the complete opposite of baseball... same thing people crying when they hit HR with ball slightly off the PCI....or perfect perfect into Outs
THATS BASEBALL ... some randomness

You can dot all you want, I'd still hit some of them out because I'm an above average hitter in this game and have been for many years. Pinpoint doesn't change a thing in that regard, you just have to look for your pitch a bit more and be smart about it.

Every pitcher in the game has perfect command of all pitches ... breaking balls and changeups always on corner for 2 games in a row ... how the [censored] is this real baseball when theres never a mistake made ???
this is gettint out of hand with the pitching accuracy ... when you dont see one ball in the middle of the zone in 3 straight RS game ...
they sure know how to ruin this game
Going to not go out on much of a limb here and tell you this has very little to do with a "superior" pitch design and everything to do with what the AI queues the animation to show you. I've had tons of games where, using meter pitching, where've I've put the ball exactly where the controller input suggested it should be. Actually had 25 k's in what 9 inning perfect game.
It's AI that makes you look great, makes you look bad. Makes your opponent look like Cy Young and makes your opponent look like Cy Onara.
Perfect pitch is just the same smoke and mirror...but much more cumbersome. IMO. Takes just about twice as long to deliver a pitch..who wants that unless there TRULY is an advantage. I don't believe there is.

So you are saying you threw a perfect game with 25 strikeouts against a human because the AI decided that was what the outcome of the game was supposed to be? get a grip dude, your opponent was a potato
Either you've been hanging with Ramone or just haven't played this game long enough to understand we're all one AI glitch away from being a "potato" as you like to call it.
But, I can't swear it was a human. I'm convinced RS spins as many bots at you as humans..so, who knows it could have been a bot. The games where every pitch I throw are hit hard could also be a bot.
I don't know and, likely, no one out here besides the developers and family and friends of know either. To say it ain't true is about as sensical and conspiratorial as saying it is true.

Lol pinpoint in DD where entire staff is diamonds of course everyone unhittable
Yeah but all the hitters are diamond too should be equal difficulty hitting and pitching .... just make pitching more difficult

No, if you want it to be more difficult go play 20.

Sorry it’s more difficult to square up a ball on black consistently

Sinker up and in has nothing to do with the pinpoint mechanic and everything SDS shoddy programming.
Has everything to do with it as with pinpoint you can just dot up and in broken sinkers
So what? Just crush them. I don't understand why people have so much issues with these sinkers despite it not being realistic.
I agree on the sinker. The problem is that it comes out the hand like a breaking pitch instead of fastball. That’s why it gets me so much. I instantly think slide or curve but then it’s a sinker.... would be a helluva pitch if it worked like that in real life lolol. Although I get tons of strikeouts off low curves, so not sure your issue there.
Pinpoint is not a bad concept to me, but I think it is too easy to do. There isn’t big enough of a window for error once you get it down. In other words i think it is a valid option if they cause it to be harder to do. No one should be making every pitch perfect with it. I’m not saying make it impossible or give random results, just make it harder to master.
On that note, if you use meter or analog then your perfect results should also give you perfect accuracy if they leave pinpoint in the current state. Also you should not hang a pitch unless you absolutely fail the meter , analog or pinpoint.
