User hits ball to outfield
Opponent has closes outfielder that is suppose to make play. Instead of using said outfielder, opponent switches selected player to another outfielder to make the play instead.
I can see this confusing the cpu assisted initial base runner. As they read it to be a hit.
No I can't see that at all...
I’m just trying to make sense of it. I’m not saying it’s a thing. Just let OnP explain further. Also it’s not far fetched that maybe this is something that legitimately happened.
Seems a bit far fetched to me
And I don't think it's possible to make sense of it
Maybe the runners weren’t sent. But on a pop up your runners will automatically go half way or take some lead off the bag while waiting to see if the ball is caught. Maybe the switch delayed the recognition of this
No it wouldn't
I don't know why you are shutting down what he's syaing... Do you not play this game? With assisted baserunning on, the CPU has brief control over your baserunner. It literally makes perfect sense what he is saying..... Not sure why you'd think it doesn't.

This guy I just played did something weird with his outfielders, where he would change players or something while the ball was in the air. This would then automatically send my runners from their base and they’d get doubled off.
Anyone seen this?
I have absolutely no idea wth you are even taking about... literally
Kinda like when I posted a problem I was experiencing in the game and you said it wasn’t possible? So I posted my evidence, tagged you, and you disappeared. If you don’t have anything of value to add to the thread maybe you should just keep your mouth shut.
Yeah and you said you didn't think it was either...then proceeded to start an argument about it for no reason...as you are now ..I really don't care it's not that big of a deal

This is one of those things we’re somebody reads about glitches that don’t exist all day long and starts to make up their own.
I switch off Griffey to Buxton as much as possible, this doesn’t happen.
So you're saying OP is sending his runners then...........

Here you go again my guy. OP experienced a glitch online and is trying to troubleshoot it with peers. All you’re doing here is saying it’s not possible, when you don’t even know, as well as having precedent of being wrong before.

Because of CPU assisted baserunning it is possible. I havent notice it happening though. But people saying they have full control of their runners is BS. When a line drive is hit to an IF and your runner dives back to the bag did you do that? When a long fly ball is hit and it may or may not go out in your mind, but your CPU assisted baserunner either stops half way between the bags or just keeps on going, are you doing that? And of course a dozen more samples could be made.
Why are people so quick to defend instead of using facts to help one another out?
Like I said, it is 100% possible to fool the CPU assisted baserunners, (which are 100% a thing online or off), but i never seen it done as an exploit or "cheese" to me personally.

respectfully, and i say respectfully, i still have no idea what you mean - i have weird base running issues sometimes in game, where the guy keeps running when i am wanting him to stop, i have no clue why this happens - but i don't claim GLITCH OR GUY CHEATING - i just shrug it off to the servers
Well if OP would shedded more light on this then maybe something could be explains or added. Idk. I’m just trying to make sense of it and thinking of a way how it could happened as initially explained. And maybe it was a server/ animation issue.
yeah man, i get a ton of server / animations of guys running past the bag - it really sucks sometimes, i just hope to make it up somewhere else in the game - thankfully its not all the time but wanting a double and then turning 2nd is like ahhhhhhhhh fckkkkkkkk

I've seen this attempted plenty. It's a valid cheese tactic.
Doesn't work 99% of the time though if you pay attention.

Are you advancing the runners by just holding L1 or are you targeting individual runners and pressing the corresponding base button? I do the latter method and I don’t believe I ever have that issue. I mostly play against the cpu though

It seemed like he switched between an infielder and outfielder, and it auto-sent my runner from first. He did it 3 times, and the third time I was ready.
I’m a WS regular, and he played since like 2012. I’m not one to blame stuff on cheating, but this is a new one for me. I’ve played enough competitive gaming to know cheese when I smell it.

That's weird because I've seen it done numerous times and my runners never went on their own

His record was also 19-0, just saying.
It’s definitely something he did, because his outfielder and infielder spazzed a bit, and then my runners ran.
To stop it, I mashed R1, obviously. -

Dude, we’ve all seen people switch players. To be post-worthy and cheese-accusation-worthy, it would have to be something we HAVENT seen before.
