This guy I just played did something weird with his outfielders, where he would change players or something while the ball was in the air. This would then automatically send my runners from their base and they’d get doubled off.
Anyone seen this?

Yeah...like ..how do you make someone's runners go?
-
User hits ball to outfield
Opponent has closes outfielder that is suppose to make play. Instead of using said outfielder, opponent switches selected player to another outfielder to make the play instead.
I can see this confusing the cpu assisted initial base runner. As they read it to be a hit.

this makes absolutely no sense to me what you're saying - are you speaking about offline or online? we determine our base running online - there is nothing CPU about it - i change OF all the time when im playing depending on the situation and who has the better arm

I’m just trying to make sense of it. I’m not saying it’s a thing. Just let OP explain further. Also it’s not far fetched that maybe this is something that legitimately happened.

Seems a bit far fetched to me
And I don't think it's possible to make sense of it

Maybe the runners weren’t sent. But on a pop up your runners will automatically go half way or take some lead off the bag while waiting to see if the ball is caught. Maybe the switch delayed the recognition of this

respectfully, and i say respectfully, i still have no idea what you mean - i have weird base running issues sometimes in game, where the guy keeps running when i am wanting him to stop, i have no clue why this happens - but i don't claim GLITCH OR GUY CHEATING - i just shrug it off to the servers

Well if OP would shedded more light on this then maybe something could be explains or added. Idk. I’m just trying to make sense of it and thinking of a way how it could happened as initially explained. And maybe it was a server/ animation issue.

I have absolutely no idea wth you are even taking about... literally
Kinda like when I posted a problem I was experiencing in the game and you said it wasn’t possible? So I posted my evidence, tagged you, and you disappeared. If you don’t have anything of value to add to the thread maybe you should just keep your mouth shut.

This is one of those things we’re somebody reads about glitches that don’t exist all day long and starts to make up their own.
I switch off Griffey to Buxton as much as possible, this doesn’t happen.

I don't know why you are shutting down what he's syaing... Do you not play this game? With assisted baserunning on, the CPU has brief control over your baserunner. It literally makes perfect sense what he is saying..... Not sure why you'd think it doesn't.
