Cross play quality

I have only played a total of 7 games online in RS. Not exactly off to a great start (3-4) either. My 4 losses have all been to a Playstation player, and my 3 wins have been against an Xbox player. In the games against the Playstation users, the gameplay seems different than when I play play the Xbox users. The overall timing with dang near every aspect of the game is noticeably different. Almost as if the system, or servers, favor the playstation player. Does anyone else seem to notice this issue? I promise I'm not just making excuses for getting my [censored] smoked. This is the first game I have played that you can play cross platform. Is this something that's typical when playing cross platform?

It probably is more that most PS fans have played the game significantly longer and by extension just are better at the moment. I'm sure there may be some delay and lag as well, but probably not the main reason for your losses.

It isn't just you. I just played a Battle Royale and it was laggy as all hell, and then the loser I was playing jacked a 2 run bomb because the comp was having my MLB pitcher throwing balls all over the place.
I don't know how NHL online games are smooth as butter for the most part with 10 moving pieces at all times and this [censored] is laggy as all hell.
It takes away from the experience and its mostly a joke. Online blows monkey balls because of this and needs to be stayed away from. I also have rock solid internet so it isn't from my end.

I don’t think it’s favouring one or the other - I have suspected for a while (with lots of video evidence stored on my XBox) that it’s as simple as the data not translating perfectly during cross play. I think it’s the root of the issues they’re trying to resolve with all these server maintenances, as it’s likely the translation system that translate the tidbits of info that get sent into our systems that is doing a poor job

It's nice to hear that this isn't just in my mind trying to rationalize getting my [censored] kicked by playstation people. I played on the playstation last couple of years. Considered going back to the playstation for this issue. Glad that's not happening now.
