It does make life easier when doing moments and showdown though.

Yeah I played back to back games last night vs 2 squids that did contact swing for every single pitch. Literally every pitch. Game took forever because of the amount of foul tips. They both sucked at pitching though so I ended up winning but they hit 3 solo HR each

I'm so sick of these pussies who can't hit for [censored] circle swining bombs left and right. FIX THIS BROKEN [censored]!!!!!!!

I agree...these guys made sure they had Chipper lineup before they start online play and contact swing every time. Cheap bombs for days with OP cards.

It does make life easier when doing moments and showdown though.

So my sample size with contact swings is pretty small as I usually only use it in an 0-2 count but is it supposedly give you the EXACT same results as the normal contact swing with a bigger PCI OR just more power than you would expect from contact? I hit a Joey Gallo contact swing out in moments but that's the only homer I've had so far. If it's the exact same results as a normal swing I might start taking a different approach in showdown until it's patched...

I hit back to back to back bombs two times in the same BR game last night contact swinging. I was doing it to counter and beat my opponent.

There is no doubt that it needs to be nerfed. Contact swing shouldn't be a complete bailout for hitters whenever they fall behind. Seems like the only way you can strike out someone when they are contact swinging is if the pitch is WAY out of the zone, or if their timing is WAY off. It's this year's check swing.

Not to mention the well-documented cases of people hitting home runs on contact swings with a huge PCI.

If they want to have the foul tip big pci contact swing in the game fine.....should be no bombs hit with it.

It’s impossible to say whether it gives you the exact same results, but I am getting a lot more XBH and much better exit velos than I would have expected based on how contact swing has played in the last few years.

The McGriff multi game moment (7 hits w/ 4 XBH in 4 games), for example, was a PITA when I stupidly used power swing to get doubles and homers. But I finished it on the first try when I decided to test out contact swing (and I think 3 of the 4 XBH ended up being homers).

Michael Brantley is a perfect example for this... He is one of the best contact hitters in baseball. The most homeruns he has ever hit in a season is 22. Contact swing should lower the batters power ratings even more than it normally is. Especially if they are going to make the PCI bigger when using contact swing.

Contact swing is not broken. Your exit velocities aren't better or even the same. The only thing that is wrong with them is how easy it is to get perfect perfects. The timing window should be smaller than normal swing. Other than that, contact swing is fine.. Perfect/perfects are the only issue with them as any perfect perfect should produce the same exit velocity.

You're wrong. You're also probably one of the many dirt bags abusing this. None. I repeat none of the home runs I have witnessed from circle swinging were perfect perfect hits. Nor were they even in the strike zone. You're full of sheet.

Assume it was a simple oversight by the SDS developers due to the fact that none of them have ever seen a [censored] so it's a completely foreign concept to them...just like the concept of producing a respectable MLB video game that's primarily for the paying users enjoyment rather than being a $$ grab that rewards random Scheiße/merde because they're more concerned with being a bunch of greedy भेन्चोद rather than learning how to get some ....
