I've always wondered how that works as well

While playing conquest, I just throw them in; however, during ranked/events/BR I usually warm them up. I'm not sure if it makes a difference other then allowing your opponent to know who you have warming up to put in.

Warm up they get ready faster
Stretch and toss is slower -

Honestly I don't think there's a difference for ranked seasons online I put my game guys in cold nothing happens I put my games in with warm up nothing happens stretching toss there's no difference I mean you don't get punished for leaving them in the bullpen for too long with their energy depleting they either need to patch it or dress it next year The game is just so buggy it's frustrating

There's times I throw a reliever in not warmed up, because I forget that I pitch hit for the pitcher and have nobody ready
. Usually in that case I will put someone in and hope for the best during the first 3 batters they throw to and at the same time will have 2 pitchers warming up.

There's times in rank seasons where I will throw in a position player to pitch it's actually a good trick because the stats don't go against that player
