I understand SDS saw an issue and rushed to fix it, but they are fixing the wrong problem. The issue is the strike zone. Strikes on the corners are consistently called balls when they aren't. That is forcing pitchers into bad counts, and forcing us to put the ball more over the plate. Fix the strike zone issue, return hitting to where it was, and you'll see things even out.

Diamond Dynasty uses variable strike zones that are different from umpire to umpire, similar to real life.

I agree with this, alot of edges not getting calls forcing things over the plate. Its a tough balance.

I wish they would add pitch framing as an attribute for catchers just like blocking. Higher the attribute the more calls on the corner your pitcher gets and lower it is the less you get. It would add another layer of realism and probably a whole new layers of problems but it would be cool to see and make those calls on the edges feel more realistic

We didn't have this issue last year, so I assume they can fix the strike zone. I'm pretty good at dotting corners, but guys don't even swing now, they know it will be called a ball. Just my observation from the first week.

Strike zone definitely feels different from last year.

Yeah, against the CPU, dotted pitches on the edge of the zone get called strikes way less often. Also up and in FB are not nearly as effective as last year, even if you nail the corner.

And in general dotting the corners, even with a pitcher with higher control seems more difficult

I ran into fielding issues. My pitcher did not catch a pop up, In the shift my Second baseman drop a line drive, it his arm. My shortstop Tatis, a ball went right though his glove on a hop. I was up 2-0 in an event game lost 3-2 cause of 3 errors. At dodger stadium not sure of other stadiums, if the first baseman is in to field a bunt he does not go to the bag to receive the throw for the out. It just goes to where he is standing and is called an out. Online is frustrating to play at this point. I am not that great of a hitter. I need some strikes called on the corners when pitching.
