online vs offline

Been playing the show for many years now. I'm almost 50 lol
love the game, love the content. and, now the servers (knowck on wood) seem to be working...the pitch speeds online seem really fast to me. combo of me getting older/reflexes slower probs?
just completed AL and got Trout and i'm currently 0-9 with 8 ks lol. can't seem to catch up with an inside FB or sinkers then I don't help myself by chasing junk with 2 strikes out of the zone.
But, offline I mash with him and others.
So, should I just give up online and just become an offline player? or, just keep trying to grind it online? (yes, I know hit the practice mode etc.)
i've never been that good of a player...usually a little above .500 with my winning percentage. and usually hover in the 500-700 range during the season. never made WS and made CS like maybe 2 times lol
any tips/opinions would greatly appreciated!

Just do what you enjoy buddy! I think pitch speeds increased slightly this year. Heard even some of the top players mention how Legend was maybe the toughest its ever been in RS
I guess opinion wise it depends. If it’s frustrating you to the point its not enjoyable, then play offline a bit. If you don’t care much if you lose, grind it out. The more you see, the more you’ll get better

@HeartMan818_PSN Play the way that makes you happy. Do not worry about the sweaty folks.

Remember that most of the people that play this game have a hard time hitting an inside fastball. There are a lot of players with close to 500 records and that is the common theme among us.
If you enjoy the challenge of playing online do it. If you just want I collect cards, do it.
I’m like you. I can’t hit an inside fastball most of the time, and I don’t want to spend an hour a day warming up with the sliders turned all the way up.
Last year I grinded every piece of content and every event trying to collect every card trying to put together the best rs team. The problem was I never had time to play rs because I was always working on something, and when I did, I couldn’t catch up because the gameplay is so different. This year I decided I was only going to play rs, avoid locking in players, and just doing the TA. I’ve had a lot of fun, but I still can’t hit an inside fastball. And, when I see a high sinker I want to cry. Though, I am getting better.
Long story short..remember this is for fun.
If you want to play online with your cards, maybe you could start a league. I’d join.

I just try to guess where my opponent is pitching me if i think it going to be high i sit high, I am late or early moving PCI, I find players that hit well for me I do not care what rating they are. I rather use Josh Donaldson Gold at third then any thirdbaseman I have. I hit good with his card. His 14 speed is my only issue, I have Diamond 42 Ripken I can play at third, I have LS Arenando Monthly Justin Turner. Years past I had those issues this year I am hitting better with the high sinker and fastballs. Still a problem at times. The Curve ball with 2 k's is my biggest issue. I swing at to many pitches outside the zone. I am currently 40-36. I have not had a winning record in RS since 2017. 2018 I really did not play RS.

When I got Soriano I was going through the same thing. Sinkers and 100mph fastballs are meta inside to righty power hitters. Try what I did. Cut the plate in half. Anything inside just layoff. Anything going to the opposite side unload on. I stopped striking out so much and started making better contact.
