You have to wait for a patch the frame rate on Xbox one and PS4 is terrible

last year 20 on OG PS4 played fine. It was close to 30 FPS during gameplay and only would lag on foul balls or cut scenes.
Can't understand why they would screw it up in 21. I play on xbox but I rented it the ps4 version last week hoping the framerate would be better but it was just as bad as xbox one.
Pretty much they're telling us get a next gen system. And probably next year it'll be the last time the game is on ps4/xbox one anyway so why would they invest their time in fixing it on last gen.

Considering that the majority of users are still on last gen I hope to see a performance patch soon

I see low FPS online in some games. I think it has more to do with which stadium you play in.
I'm on xbox 1X, I also have a 1S in the kids area, I'll load it up there and see what the differences are. -

I'm on xbox 1X, I also have a 1S in the kids area, I'll load it up there and see what the differences are.It's not so much the low frame rate it's the spikes and drops in frame rate which makes timing very difficult on almost everything

The previous games have never had frame rate drops like this from pitch to pitch

This game is the most choppy and laggy I've played in the last 4 years did not upgrade to ps5 for this years game because it just not worth it and it's basically the same game with the same graphics it's not the upgrade I was hoping for. All the small updates are nice but they do not fix the real issues that this game has. It's getting close to EA with Madden level. It's not too late to save this years game but SDS needs to step up their game and listen to it's players and customers.

Was this ever resolved or simply swept under the rug… hate to be the guy to get flagged for bumping posts but every post seems to be at least 2 months old. Am I missing something or has everyone who plays this on current gen simply given up?!

I had it free on game pass but had to switch back to PS4 because the game performed so badly it was barely playable at best

Took a chance on it because I read mixed things about the performance but when I tell you I’m getting absolutely boned rn I mean it. I bought this game on june 18th and noticed it immediately. Went straight to YouTube and tried every troubleshooting step I could find (running on Xbox one S w a 4K hdr compatable Tv and console) still nothing. Read somewhere that an update dropped today (which supposedly did) so I decided to wait till then to complain to anyone.. (games been out 2 months and it’s Sony on a Microsoft platform so it has to be some kind of “translation” issue with porting a Sony game to a Microsoft console… right?) got the update. Went back in. Same [censored]. I decided to contact Microsoft for a refund and they told me that I couldn’t get one due to the fact that I played the game… imagine you buy a cellphone brand new from the store and see the screen is cracked so you go back and ask for a refund and they tell you no because you already opened the box…… I’m hoping the devs can actually solve this problem because as of now its one of the biggest “F-U” ever…. Legit spent over 60 dollars to throw half an inning

Wish I could have warned people on base Xbox's sooner the performance issues are unacceptable

A fix for a 60 dollar game should not be to buy a 500 dollar console… good luck even finding one for less than 800 right now… terrible take my guy

I think you’re missing the point.. both cars still drive and are both capable of reaching speeds of 60. I’m not expecting 4k @120hz.. I’m simply asking for the game to do what it was advertised to…it’s literally un playable on a platform in which it was advertised would run to at least 60fps…do explain how someone is supposed to enjoy a game that drops to 15-20fps. in a game that’s entirely based on timing?!…im whining because the quality of the product I purchased completely contradicts what was advertised?! Horrible take…

you are assuming that the game runs the same on both systems when clearly that is not the case - the ps4 sounds like a jet engine is going to take off when you play MLB stadiums
the two systems are WORLDS APART and the fact that you cannot see that is laughable at best
ill take it a step further for you and say that i have no desire to play against people with old systems or [censored] internet

None of what you said has any merit…. I am well aware of the fact that the newer gen consoles are faster… but that seemingly negates the fact that the current gen is still capable of running the game to the advertised specs? While simultaneously running every other game I own at the same frame rate consistently? If it was solely a hardware issue then why does no other game I own do this? Unless of course it’s nothing to do with the hardware and everything to do with the formatting of the actual game…. Keep reaching tho bud

Like my guy I’m not expecting it to perform to the level of the newer consoles… I only want what was advertised which was 60fps @ 1080p… the hardware can handle that. No other game I own has this problem except for mlb..I only want what was advertised as previously stated… no more no less… I don’t understand what’s so hard to comprehend about that lol it’s like you aren’t even reading what I type
