Don Mattingly at 3rd

I'm working on the 2nd inning showdown and tried to move Mattingly to 3rd so I could add Matt Adams at first. It says Mattingly has 3rd as a secondary, but when I move him there his fielding goes down to 8...
Has anyone actually used Mattingly and tried putting him there? I don't know if it's a visual glitch, or if they screwed up and never meant to have 3B listed. My guess would be the latter.

I saw koogs try it and he still had a gold shield at third even though his fielding is an 8

I just believe the stats glitch out with him being a lefty and how uncommon you see lefties play 3rd base, i have him too and love the card!!
