I don’t think there is DDA but I do believe there is RNG that at times can feel like it’s against you. I personally think pitcher confidence needs a nerf both ways. When it’s high it is too powerful. When it’s low it’s too powerful.

They release these new cards all the time, and that makes Johnny thinks if spend such and such real money the latest and greatest card will prevent him from losing which we know it won't.
I'll believe in DDA when mercy rules in this game cease to exist. If DDA was truly a think mercy rules would simply not happen ever. 90% of the "this game has DDA" posts are made by a player that left his pitcher in to long or brought in a scrub reliever and lost in the late innings. There just isn't enough proof that it exists. Anyway doesn't EA have a patent on the entire concept of DDA?
Do you know how there are mercy rules? Because people leave their pitchers in too long and that trumps any DDA. Do mound visits and switch pitchers and the chances of you being mercied are extremely rare. The game will help you out if you are losing and give you chances.
Ironically leaving pitchers in too long is what prompts most of these DDA posts in the first place. You really think SDS has the ability to program defensive animations to favor/go against people based on situation? You are giving them too much credit if that's the case. They haven't gotten catcher fielding right in the entire history of this game being online. You thinking they have the capability of programming DDA is laughable
So Madden doesn't program in fumbles when you are about to go ahead 21-0? I'll give you more examples. Ball to the gap. Your 99 speed outfielder physically slows down when you are in the lead and the ball drops. However, if you are behind he speeds up and makes the catch. Are you saying you have never seen players speed up or slow down. If so you are not only naive but blind. You may want to get your eyes checked. It happens all the time.
There is DDA in madden. I'll give you that. Because EA has a patent on the concept. Just seems strange to me that the person that thinks McDonalds wifi or a phone hotspot helps you out in this game more that a good internet connection thinks that outfielders speeding up is DDA and not connection based

No skill is need for this game brotha. The sooner we figure it out the less stress we will be. Just played two event games. Was leading by 2 and 3 and lost both in the last inning off ridiculous HRs. I’m about to play Lego Avengers

This is a bad reference.... all SDS has to do is manipulate sliders and that's easy. There is definitely some weird scenarios in this game where you can get perfect perfect outs all game and watch your opponent smash early good hits in the same game.

I'm terrible at this game and I always end up with a terrible record, so if there's DDA or RNG or whatever then the devs clearly have a personal grudge against me because I never seem to benefit. SDS, why do you hate me so much?

It's ridiculous. Guy can't h it all game. Get a lead. 7th inning and bloop singles. Pinch hit for the pitcher and that's an automatic hit. Then a 12 PCI HR to take the lead. Why can't they just make it where actual input matters ?

A common scenario I run into and have been running into for years...up by 2 in the last inning...mind you this guy couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat...lead off bloop single on very late timing and ball not in the pci...followed by an easy double play ground ball that my gold/diamond fielder lets go over his shoulder for an error...followed by a homerun on early timing and ball barely in the pci. Game over I hit the showers. I can’t be the only one that has seen that combo before. It’s like a Mortal Kombat finisher at this point. I believe 60-70% of the time a better than average player can over come it and the 80-90% of the time the elite players can over come it. Overcoming the script and trying your best to minimize it is where the skill gap takes place. Sometimes you can conquer it and other times you are at the mercy of the game. But there is a script and it does happen.

The only skill really comes down to whether a fastball zooms by with your connection or not and not swinging at low pitches out the zone unless they allow you to foul them off 10 times in a row.
I don’t know about DDA. But it’s definitely best to take it as a casual experience and hope your connection allows to see the fastballs.
There's 100% dda in this game. They can deny it all they want but all you have to do is watch the game and pay attention. I can usually tell whether a play will be made when it is hit depending on the score. For instance, a ball in the hole at SS. If you are winning, 9/10 times that runner will be safe. If losing, the SS will get the quick throw animation. No different than the dribbler on the infield or a thousand other scenarios. This is why when you are in the lead, you take no chances on the bases and have to make sure your guy will 100% make it. You have to factor that the relay will be very quick.
I must be f* terrible at the game if I’m 23-3 with two disconnect losses. DDA must always be in my favour right?

I was 24-1 to start the year. Lost 4 straight, 2 I deserved to and 2 I outplayed my opponent by a wide margin, but they get some bloops to come back and fluke it in extras. 3 of my losses the guy can't hit all game then late game all of a sudden their bad swings get rewarded.
You can still win games with DDA or RNG against you. You just notice that when winning it seems those jammed and very early hits land for your opponent, but your good squared swings get run down or die at the wall. Diamond and gold fielders boot grounders, they take an extra split second to throw to first. You give up an off the pci homer. I think a lot of it is quirks, momentum, etc. -

I agree with you, but I believe the patent EA has for dynamic difficulty isnt on the concept, but rather how they implement it. I read through all of their patents when I was big into FIFA, and at least that is how I remember reading that aspect.

Exactly. People are describing the supposed DDA in this game exactly the way madden and fifa implement it. It would literally be illegal for SDS to use it that way. I just don't think some people don't get that the randomness of baseball isn't DDA. You could even call it bad programming if you want. But it isn't DDA

I have definitely won 1 game because of this, but honestly 3 of my 5 losses were terrible luck against me for them to tie the game and force extras. A lot of my wins the guy quits early or I had a big lead.
