I just pitched against the Astros in RTTS and Belt was the 1B on both teams! lol.
I shut him down but he homered for my team.
Belt flew out to the wall once against me so he just missed homering for both teams! -

I've seen similar issues in past year's versions. One time it happened to my RTTS player. Basically I got traded during the winter meetings. Then spring training comes, and I'm scheduled for both my old team and my new team. Eventually the save just ended up becoming helplessly corrupted and had to be started over. Think this was 2016 or so. Back then it really sucked because we weren't on the Archetype model so starting over was starting from the very beginning.
