? For ppl who finished LS collection

Do you feel like you beat the game? Always was my ultimate goal because it took me several months since i never open diamond cards in years past. But i actually pulled several diamonds ,no trouts, but was enough, including sellin all the reward cards, to finish the LS.
I feel like i can enjoy the online games an not get mad when i lose because the main reason i played RS an events was to sell the rewards to put towards LS. So thats why i wanted to win more than just braggin rights.
Idk just feels weird being done this early and dont have that big urge to play constantly -
It’s exactly why this game shouldn’t be putting out 99s to begin the year. Kills the game cycle. Now you have a team that probably won’t change much in the next 11 months.
-
Well now you can play the game without the stress of trying to grind I guess.
Use your new found freedom to try out the bosses and new cards when released. Have fun with line up creation. Make a theme team for ranked or just play at your own leisure.
If nothing else, you've freed yourself up time wise to either play a different game or do something else with your free time.
Some people only play for the grind. Some people hate grinding. Overall its supposed to be fun...so do if you find that because of the grind being done the game losses its fun factor...do something else and cut back on MLB playtime.

I’m happy with the way they’ve approached it so far this year. I’m happy they didn’t add a 99 overall pitcher at launch like the 2 previous years that everyone had and would just spam online. Live series players are still very usable which is nice. Harper is still in my ranked starting lineup despite having a few better options just bc I absolutely rake with him. I think he’s still batting .450+ for me.

I completed the LS collection thanks to a small investment and a 12-0 run that netted me my second Mike Trout and those rewards. At this stage, I like having the LS collection done because I can just grind for fun cards that I enjoy playing with without having to worry about creating a competitive team for ranked seasons. My primary goal is to always have a competitive team for ranked. Having that, I can focus on just playing, getting better, and enjoying the game. This is the first time I've ever completed the LS collection in the first month and it was honestly worth the grind and the investment I put into it.
Also, I have a full time job as an attorney, so I don't have time to grind out programs. It's easier for me to sink a bit of money in for certain cards than to just grind for hours like I used to when I was a student.
-
No, now you can actually play the game lol

2019 I spent too much money and did the collections right away. This year I am trying NMS and find it to be more rewarding, though frustrating and time consuming at times. I imagine if/when I finish the collections I'll be pretty pumped, but I have been able to assemble a perfectly adequate team for this stage of the game without absolutely killing myself to do it and it has been fun. I actually learned how to do conquests and have branched out to other modes within DD and have enjoyed myself.
-
I finished it on Saturday night. So far I haven't used my boss team yet as I'm still playing event games but I am looking forward to finally getting to use my full team after I am done grinding events.
I've never completed the LS collection in the 4 years I've been playing. I'm still struggling to understand the hype as I have all these cards that will probably rarely, if ever, see my field but I needed something to do with the 3M stubs I amassed grinding the market (still have 1.3M) so why not right?
Since collections was never a goal I don't feel like I have "beaten the game".

Idk just feels weird being done this early and dont have that big urge to play constantlyIt kinda does feel that way for me. But now I can play more ranked seasons knowing I've done all the grinding to get the best team possible. No stone unturned and now its up to my stick skills to get to World Series which is beating the online part of the game.
Finishing LS is just beating the collection aspect of the game for now until they release a new major collection in late July.

The fun is just beginning for you. Now you can mix that lineup up, it’s nice having great options.

I hate the Madden style of doing things... use the 85 version, the 88 version, the 92 version, the 95, version, the 98 version, the All Time version. Wait.... here comes the Golden Ticket's. It is a huge money grab and the best players at the game we will beat your diamonds with silvers because they are better at the game and manipulating the games glitches/flaws.
I have the LS collection complete and haven't beat the game because there isn't a way to beat a sports game. You can beat opponents and having better cards will give you an advantage in some cases and make you even on paper in every case. With that said, I wanted to get the LS collection done early so I can enjoy the game all year without worrying about the collection. I don't have to turn to packs in hopes of packing a card I need for the collection or spend all of my time flipping to get cards. I can play whatever mode I want without pressure.
-
I just finished the NL this morning. My goal is to finish the collection first so all my stubs go towards LS cards. I was lucky to pull Degrom twice so made it easier. Now I have some legit cards to build around and good team to grind for the AL side. Which is basically just the Angels and Yankees have left

i can not sit Seager or Betts, They both are good for me and I am a All star level player in RS. I will still use Donaldson Gold card Only bad part is that 14 speed.

Yea agree it’s just stupid. I played 2k for the first time this year and every week there was a new Lebron or Giannis. Lebron has like 14 cards in the game

Not really. Chipper, Soriano, Finley, Trout, and Maybe Ortiz are end game with Parallels but still plenty of room to change up the roster
-
I was able to knocked out the LS collection opening weekend and then i grinded for Jackie which I just finished.
-
This and the XP boosters really slowed the grind down. No reason to sprint to rewards when your still going to finish behind 20,000 people so it is a bit more enjoyable in a strange way. If I didn’t jackpot on Topps now cards then I’d be a bit more anxious about earning and selling all the rewards but I’m almost at Soriano so it’s just fun now.
Honestly maybe it’s just me but these choice packs are like as good as programs and what I look forward to the most this year.

It hasn't though. Chipper is an end game card, but the other two are borderline. I have completed the LS collection, but I am nowhere near a complete end game lineup and will probably be shuffling people in and out over the next 3 months. For instance I'm still starting Soto and Mike Trout, both LS cards.
There is also the mid season collection that I'm now working towards that features an end game card, in years past we have had Honus and Trout, this year im anticipating an absolutely juiced Clemente.
Trust me when I say OPs team and my own will change a lot over the next several months, I still feel Chipper is the only end game card in the game right now. Eventually we will get a better 1B, like a Bellinger or a stacked Konerko. We will eventually get better outfielders than Soriano (even though he plays 2B for me).

I enjoy flipping cards, I enjoy playing the different modes, I just love baseball, i am in no rush to do anything but get to the 650 by the end of the expiration date, Get to 40 wins in RS should be there already but have to win 2 more which I will do before the 17th. Earn packs and stubs, I have completed every CQ map. When I want to open a pack I will take in hour and work on TA innings while doing the Mystery Map over again to get a free show pack. For fun and to see if I could get a gold or diamond card I play the Tigers on legend last night and won 4-1. I was surprised how well I played. Vs CPU game you still get a end of game card. I got a 66 bronze and a ton of XP. Just enjoy the game and have fun. It is baseball.

Uh, Trout is the best card in the game.
