No option to watch game until after first appearance

I would like to be able to have the option to watch the game from the beginning and not just after my players first appearance. I try to maximize the amount of defensive opportunities my player gets so he can progress faster. Have been doing this in the show for awhile. Thank you.

Yep it works sometimes but I have only seen in a few times in three plus seasons so far

I have only had the option to watch from the beginning after a cutscene involving my player at the beginning of the game. The little cinematic that plays before your first game in the majors or when they are spotlighting you, for example.
