Ohtani POTM pitching

No clue but maybe it has to do with the 3 batter minimum? That the second time you try to move him to the mound, the pitcher who's on the mound hasn't faced 3 batters yet?

no its not that because i try to make the switch in the 2nd inning after my pitcher finishes the 1st inning

Will it let you just pinch hit him off the bench when SP first at bat comes up? You would still have to burn one of your bench slots doing it this way but at least you get to still pitch all but couple of innings while having him in lineup?

yes i can pinch hit ohtani for the pitcher but when he goes out to pitch it forces you to put in a different pitcher

It’s definitely messed up. I tried doing a double switch in an event game and it wouldn’t let me. They haven’t fixed that yet either. I don’t know if it happens every time, but definitely some bugs.

Oh that’s right I forgot they changed that...up until this year you could just hit the back button when replace screen popped up and the position player would pitch...

You've exit out of the "position player on the mound" screen and he has his normal pitches.
He doesn't have any pitching quirks and it doesn't look like he gets parallel XP for pitching, just hitting.
A bit annoying because the game will prompt you every inning, but just exit out of it.
I pitched 6 innings of relief and he hit 4 bombs for me.

I just backed out, it kept prompting me every inning but I was still able to back out from the bullpen screen.
Edit: I just tried doing this again and it would no longer let me back out anymore. Guess it was a bug.

️The best two way player in 100 years and SDS doesnt think he could pitch and hit in the same game. That's SDS for you.
