    Hey everyone.

Seen a couple of posts about this but I’m still confused.

I made a ball player, and I want him to be a catcher. I grinded RTTS to get him to diamond and one of the preferred positions of the loadout is catcher. When I go to put him in my lineup as a catcher in DD, he even shows up in the secondary position menu. His fielding rating is 80 and all the other peripheral stats are also fairly high.

So why on earth is he dropping a majority of balls behind the plate? Is this a known issue? Has anyone at SDS mentioned it at all? I looked through the patch notes and couldn’t find anything referencing this, and there have only been a handful of posts on this forum about it.

For more info: I chose the sparkplug loadout (specifically because catcher was a preferred position and I was a fan of the attributes), and ended up finishing with “The Hawk” loadout (which has every position as a preferred position). Hate to think that I wasted my time, but it seems more and more likely.

I [censored] this up also. They could not of made this new process anymore confusing. It was super easy every year before this. Why change something that wasn't broken? Morons

It seems to be a bug atm. Instead of playing in secondary position, the game makes it so your CAP plays out of position. Hopefully it gets patched soon.

I even tried buying all the catcher equipment and fielding gear mine is in the 90s fielding with 70s blocking and still drops every 2nd or 3rd offspeed pitch and sometimes won't even catch fastballs down the middle multiple pitches Ina row

Yeah I hope so, though I’m frankly not that confident. Seems like they have a lot of issues right now (ahem servers ahem). Sucks because that was one of the more fun aspects of DD in the past, and the players were viable for large chunks of the year, at least in MLB 20.
