For years I have lobbied for removal of the R2 feature, or at the very least, allow us to step off the rubber every time R2 is pressed. But......to no avail. I hope all R2 users jock straps become infested with South American Fire Ants!!!!
I have never had an issue stepping of the rubber when someone holds R2. As soon as I see that symbol in this years game of R2 being held I step off. Then my opponent will pause if they can not hold R2. I think SDS need to change how long R2 can be held.
But not do anything toward how fast someone can pitch? Just curious, you know that is the other sides arguement so why not address both? See why people keep arguing? You change one you should change other, if everybody wants it fair then by god make it fair across the board.
Do you want the pitcher to balks back in the game and have it where pitchers have to come set with runners on base. If no runners are on base, pitcher can pitch when ready. If you are not ready as a hitter then that is on you. No need to hold it every pitch to be ready to hit. I second or two ok but for 10 seconds every pitch is crazy, Once I select my pitch and set my location I am pitching. That takes a second to do. A hitter should be ready. If someone is spamming FB then I sit in that location. Sooner or Later the ball is flying over the fence. This year I been able to hit the High FB. I been hitting better this year then the past few years. It is still not great but I am winning more than I am losing. I think I am 32-24 in RS.
I don't agree with spamming R2 just to do it make sure i'm clear about that.
But if someone is quick pitching that is also an exploit whether people want to belive it or not.
My point is if the arguement is get rid of R2 then there is also a valid arguement to get rid of quick pitching.I think R2 is a good tool to see how opponent pitched you in previous at bats that is what I use it for. I think SDS should change how long someone can hold R2. They should not be able to hold R2 once I select my Pitch.
If you are not quick pitching i agree.
I have been quick pitched and I do not mind it but if I need to slow my opponents pitching down, No need to hold R2 the whole time. Do it for a second or two and not for 10 seconds every pitch in every at bat. I use meter so people who hold R2 thinking it will mess with my timing well it doesnt. Most of the time they are still not ready to hit cause once they release R2 my pitch is being pitched as they release. It is annoying and somewhat of an advantage for me.
Ok i get it, but the arguement is R2 bothers some people and quick pitching bothers some people. You can't change R2 and then not something regarding quick pitch. That's all i'm saying.
Take your example, if they changed R2 but didn't touch quick pitch how is that fair in the overall scheme?
Does someone really need to Hold R2 for 10 seconds? limit the time on R2 and hold it before pitch is selected. Now pitcher still can not QP, but user hitting can not hold R2 for 10 seconds just cut down the time R2 can be held.
Does someone really need to pitch b4 batter has a chance to check scenarios of the at bat? Same freaking arguement but nobody wants to acknowlege the part that leads to person spamming R2 in the first place.
this isnt always true though. some people hold R2 from the very first pitch before their opponent even has the chance to quick pitch them, like that one dude that commented earlier. theres a lot more people like him than you think

You can’t hold R2 for ten seconds. It’s more like 3-4 seconds, I would know because I hold it the entire time for every at bat.

I do not need to. You keep holding R2 and I will keep stepping off the mound. Every time I see that sign of someone holding R2 I will step off and then you will pause every pitch and run out of time and I will win the game. I also have no need to spam pitches but I am not waiting for you to be ready to hit. When I am ready to pitch the pitch is coming. The pitcher always controls the tempo of the game.

You can’t hold R2 for ten seconds. It’s more like 3-4 seconds, I would know because I hold it the entire time for every at bat.
It is longer than 3 or 4 seconds.
Go time it with a stop watch, it’s not.
I do not need to. You keep holding R2 and I will keep stepping off the mound. Every time I see that sign of someone holding R2 I will step off and then you will pause every pitch and run out of time and I will win the game.
I have no problem with you stepping off the mound. I also will not press pause, doesn’t bother me. You are literally just giving me more time in between pitches, thank you for your support.

Then live with R2 holding. I’m not going to let someone throw 10 pitches in 3 seconds like it’s a machine gun. If you don’t want a timer, R2 is the best way to make both sides happy.
What exactly is wrong with a pitcher working quickly and how is that anything but a good thing? Well it’s simple, I have to adjust my batting gloves, do the Nomar cleat tap, and don’t forget about adjusting that jockstrap. That takes a little time my man.

You are an example of everything bad about gaming today. Come on here and go full fanboy for SDS then brag about how you purposely try to make games take longer to annoy opponents.

What freaking scenarios? Are you for real with this?
You’re absolutely toxic.

some of these losers that could never imagine actually playing baseball need to make it feel like the real thing bc that's the closest they'll ever get.
