Franchise Crashing

I can no longer play franchise games, it loads and crashes to the xbox home screen every team. Created a new franchise for confirmation and it happened again. Anyone else have this issue?

Could it be a corrupted file? I haven't started a franchise and I'm on a PS5.

I suppose that it could but that’d mean that I have two separate corrupt files, how odd is that.

Ever since the new update I cannot play any franchise games. Loads all the way to the start of the game and crashes every time. It sucks.

I have the same issue. It's for sure not a corrupted file. I tried multiple times, new franchise, etc and always the same. It crashes the first time my team comes up to bat. I have PS5. I uninstalled the game and did not reinstall the update. After that the game worked with the same save files. Then I redownload the update patch and it is broke again. So I can turn on and off the franchise crash issue by having or not having the patch. Even Madden bugs aren't this bad.

There are a few people on Operation Sports forum reporting this too.
Looks like the last remaining game mode that wasn’t bug-ridden has succumbed.

Wow, this is not good. Before we couldn't start a franchise with roster from vault. Now we can get that roster from vault but not play a game in franchise with it. One can only wonder what happens next if they fix this problem.

Same problem here on Xbox one. Crashes between innings back to the console home page. Tried 5 different times. Started happening after this most recent patch. It'd be nice to see a response from the company.

I read somewhere that it happens with rosters downloaded from vault before, I believe, April 30th. Try downloading a roster dated April 30th or May 1st.

This is happening for me as well on Xbox One. Game crashes after the top of the first every time

i think its related to using downloaded custom rosters, they finally gave us the capability to use them but now the whole franchise just crashes LMAO.......this is so bizarre

3 days now... Sends me to dashboard when playing franchise.Game is broken from the update

It’s not the rosters. I made a franchise the day it came out. I’m in season 2 already and I had default rosters. I’m not starting a new one I’m just going to wait until I fix or they fix it.

I don't think default roster would have created this issue. I believe this issue is with downloaded rosters from the vault, before April 30th or May 1st.

So what are you saying here? Are you saying this crash is caused if you have a vault roster before then? Because I have the crash and I didn’t even have a vault roster

Is this fixed yet? I worked around the issue by uninstalling the game and disconnecting from the internet to avoid the update. If it is fixed, I can connect the ps5 back to the internet. For reference, I was using the default rosters and multiple franchises all crashed on PS5 the first time my team is up to bat. By uninstalling and reinstalling the update I can turn the issue on/off.

Problem still isn't fixed for franchise. I can play all 9 innings with no problems and when I end the game it always crashes to the dashboard without saving anything. I've started multiple franchises with and without custom rosters and it's always the same thing. I get about 10- 12 games into the season and then it does the same thing. I've even re-download the game 2 times and I honestly give up trying anything else. At least I could play cyberpunk, this is complete trash and an awful start to the xbox community

This is the first time I've seen anyone have the same issue I'm having. Getting all the way through the game and then crashing when trying to exit. I've tried saving through the game and although it will load back to my save point after a crash, it still didn't help me finish the game. And now it's even worse because I think I'm stuck. So frustrating! Been waiting for a baseball game on Xbox for a long time.

I can’t load my franchise. I have three different Xbox’s in my home, doesn’t work on any of them. Worked fine until the update. Used default rosters. Downloaded roster update Monday and since then hasn’t worked.
