Why not file the report 7 years ago when it supposedly happened? That should be one of the first questions answered before people condemn him.
its actually really common for sexual misconduct victims to not report initially or they report and it doesn't go anywhere. This doesnt mean action shouldn't be taken once its been looked into
It doesn’t look good either way. Why wait so long to say something unless you were motivated not to and now that motivation is gone. I don’t like these claims being made so far apart from the accused incident for obvious reasons.
doesnt matter what you like to be fair. Even after all this time MLB was able to find enough evidence that he did something wrong, thats all that matters really
I didn’t see what evidence they found. Can you send me a link to the evidence?
they didnt release the evidence publicly but in the commissioners statement he mentioned reviewing the evidence that the third party law firm collected during their investigation
So your ok with accusing someone without seeing the evidence first?
I'm okay with the MLB and a private law firm investigating and finding cause to proceed the way they did. If you need firsthand evidence in order for you to believe every single thing in life there must be a ton of [censored] that you dont believe in. btw the Earth isnt flat
Btw, it’s on TV so it must be true! Surely the media wouldn’t twist the facts to support a narrative......they wouldn’t do that right??? MLB is the same organization that thinks asking for identification to vote is racist!! So much so they relocated the freaking all star game!! So yeah, I wanna see the facts before there’s judgement!!
Found someone who stormed the capital.
As above poster said, you're not going to see the evidence in most likelihood. If you think the MLB did anything short of it's due diligence on this to confirm there's validity to the accusations, you're nuts.
Chew on this: you've denied these claims more vehemently than Robbie and his legal team has. The fact his legal team is pretty subdued on this you get the impression they'd rather keep the lid on this.
If you look back, I didn’t deny anything. All I’ve asked for are facts.....not public opinion. In fact I think I said “time will tell”.

this isnt a matter of public opinion though. MLB made this decision based off their investigation. it wasnt like this was a hot topic in the news and people called for MLB to ban him. No the woman reported the issue and they investigated rather quietly. literally nothing to do with public opinion.

I can say that rumors existed in Toronto (possibly beyond) well before 2014 regarding Alomar and inappropriate sexual conduct. Rumors aside, he has a demonstrable track record of poor conduct on and off the field.
I don't think anyone should be surprised here... Alomar definitely never was billed to be a good person, just a good ballplayer.
-
I guess it's beyond a rumor in the courts. The rumors in Toronto were he was HIV positive and wasn't disclosing it to partners.

Moral of the story: don’t touch girls that don’t wanna be touched. No girl wants me to touch them, and you don’t see my prude self with a lawsuit. Take notes alomar
I think it should be noted that it's been referenced as sexual misconduct rather than assault. It may have been a situation where he continually harassed a colleague, and by the sounds of it, did things we all know cross the line.
Moral of the story: weiner pics never work, trust me

Considering allegations that he beat his first wife, and the spitting in the face of the umpire incident, I'm sure with the latest allegation that he will no longer be in the game anymore, and I would say rightly so.
You’re right. Guilty until proven innocent!
MLB did an investigation and found evidence to warrant their decision. try again
Allegations. Try again. The MLB is a private organization and can do whatever they want. Try again.

He was guilty of spitting in an umpire's face. There were also domestic violence injunctions served against him by police during his first marriage. Those are the facts.
I dont want it to be true either, but adding new charges, along with his past... it doesnt look good.
They why use "allegations" in the vocabulary? I couldn't care less about the dude. Never liked him, never will... but when the term "allegation" is used, and then people are like... "Let's remove the card"... it's silly.

what even is the point youre trying to make? MLB decided they didnt want him apart of their business anymore and they banned him. Banned players dont get cards. the card thats in the game will most likely be the last alomar card you will ever see in the game. no one is saying hes 100% guilty here but MLB apparently was given enough evidence by the investigators they hired

I'll iterate this a bit more for you. The MLB is a private org, and they can do whatever they want with whomever they want. That's why they have the MLBPA. My point is that just because the MLB does something, doesn't make him guilty on all charges. I'm more of a "let's her both sides of the story" type of person. Most of these accusers are found to be liars.

I agree with everything you say until the last sentence. Would love to see some evidence on that if possible. I dont think anyone here is trying to say he should go to prison but i think it makes sense for the mlb to take the course of action that they did and I wouldnt be upset to see his card to go

This cancel culture and keep my distance from anyone accused of anything is getting ridiculous. If he did do something that is to be determined, but just running away from anyone who's ever had a legal issue is dangerous. Imagine if you got accused of something and everyone just backed away because they were afraid you may have done something. Don't take this as me taking sides either way. He's innocent until proven guilty. That's what the law says, that's what I agree with.

thats too big of a generalization to make. Just bc court cases have gotten overturned in the past doesnt mean that any allegation afterwards is automatically false.
-
The guy just said several court cases have been overturned. He didn't say a bunch of accuser's lied or that it happens all the time. If you don't agree with what someone says that your right, but you don't get to put words in someone else's mouth.
