Sup fellas. Need some advice here. I have only 7 AL teams left for LS(including Trout) and I have 9 teams left for NL with about 400k to spend. I was thinking just grab Trout but as I’m looking at the collection rewards I kind of want Steve Finley more. Sounds crazy but his card looks fire and I’m so much better with lefties. I would have to buy all the LS diamonds for the Padres and Dodgers to do this and that would cost around the same as Trout. So I could have Trout and no money or Finley and a bunch of good/great useable cards. I’m leaning towards Finley just wanted some others thoughts. Thanks guys Happy Friyay

And would you buy the diamonds now or after the roster update today?

What teams you got left for NL? I think the NL East is worth doing if you havent, there are some great additions in that collection -- LS wise you get Degrom, Acuna, Harper, Scherzer and Soto. Plus Glavine from finishing that NLE collection (Probably a few decent team rewards there too).

I think that gets you more bang for your buck than just Trout (who I love using).

Regarding timing -- prices probably juiced in anticipation of update and they generally stay high over the weekend and start to dip a bit early in the week after the update. Monday/Tuesday likely best time to buy after everyone sells off cards that went up (or down).

Edit: And Soriano might be the best of the 3 collection rewards (Chipper is always solid too) so not a bad idea to focus on NL first.

I appreciate your feedback man. I only have the Marlins done but I do have Degrom. I think I’m more impressed with the West rewards and I’m fixated on that Finley card lol. Skewing my thinking. Mookie, Tatis, Kershaw, Yu. Then you get Hoffman and Gagne. Yea I’m stuck lol

    Finley. Don't look back.

Also, Gagne is really good in the early game cycle.

I crushed him when I faced him. I'm not totally sure about his pitch mix but I'm pretty sure he does not have any meta pitches.

I mean it is all about personal preference. I would recommend Gold Shane Greene. Fastball, Sinker Cutter and a SLider.

Yea he means sinker. Like 90% of people on the game can’t pitch without the sinker haha. Otherwise degrom would be like 250k. Gagnes curveball is a meta all its own if you know how to use it.

I think I’m more impressed with the Weat rewards and I’m fixated on that Finley card lol. Skewing my thinking. Mookie, Tatis, Kershaw, Yi. Then you get Hoffman and Gagne. Yea I’m stuck lol

Just a little tip, I don't really think Gagne is good.

His award card last year was one of my best relievers

I crushed him when I faced him. I'm not totally sure about his pitch mix but I'm pretty sure he does not have any meta pitches.

Meta.. you mean sinker? Yea I don’t worry to much about meta man, could care less. His Vulcan change and 26 mph difference on his curve is all I need

I mean it is all about personal preference. I would recommend Gold Shane Greene. Fastball, Sinker Cutter and a SLider.

Yea I have him, Wood, Dibble, Herrera, Lee Smith, and Street

    Do you have any lefties?

Lol. I hate Chapman so I’ve been using Hand. My only one though. I usually keep Rondon in my SP5 spot and I use him as a bullpen arm. Recommend any lefties?

Yea he means sinker. Like 90% of people on the game can’t pitch without the sinker haha. Otherwise degrom would be like 250k. Gagnes curveball is a meta all its own if you know how to use it.

Yea I hate that but it is what is it. Guys won’t touch cards for certain reasons. Like you won’t even try him out? Lol. I like Berrios as a pitcher as well. His Slurve is ridiculous. Last time I used him in RS the guy quit after 5IP. Berrios gave up 2H and SO 5

Btw sinker in and slider away to left handed hitters is usually the pattern I use with him.
