Point of using my ballplayer in DD?
-
Probably a dumb question, but is there any point in using my ballplayer after I find a better card? All my positions have cards above 70s now and my ballplayer is a 65 firstbase. I have an 84 Paul Goldschmidt. I'm guessing player would get xp each game or something is all?
-
Just noticed only hitter ballplayers accumulate stats....so no getting most wins or most saves......kind of pointless now even doing one as pitcher or any player. Such a letdown

It's a univesal player so whatever you build him to be can be used in RTTS and vice versa. You don't have to use a created player if you don't want to. Some people just like having it on thier team.

My CAP has contact over 110 from both sides. Power over 105 from both sides. Diamond fielding and 70 speed. SS primary and switch hitter. So yeah. CAPs are pretty much the best players in the game if you work on them.

Which archetype did you pick

Is that with or without equipment?

All in with equipment. I have several Diamonds Archetypes but I’m using The Hawk right now which is more power, contact and fielding. I also like Rawhide who is a 2B but plays SS well and has Contact over 100, Power at 95 and speed at 94 for me from both sides also Diamond Fielding.

By the time you've managed to level your created player up to 70 you'll have an entire team of high 70's or better. You get lots of stubs along the way and free packs so he'll never catch up and always be the weak spot on your team.
It's something that sounded great when SDS announced it but has bombed. There apparently is a new patch coming out soon to change/reduce quite a bit the RTTS-DD connection. -
It’s not a 65. The Ballplayer card doesn’t change so you can have a 99 player and it will still show as 65 on the card.

Thanks for the replies. I do like using my ballplayer, but his stats are basic and I have yet to play road to the show. Guess I need to play that if I want him to get better, but I have been waiting for a patch to play RTTS.
-
Yeah. The Diamond Archetype and equipment give a lot of the boost but also need to get him better in RTTS. Sounds like they are making that progression even easier now too.
-
My ballplayer isn’t implemented well in this game. They should of never did that to the RTTS people. Ruined their experience. It’s seems like they are trying to do things like 2k. I expect next year we see some form of multiplayer tied to it.
