One thing I hope they update at some point is Acuna’s speed. It’s been seriously undershot in SDS stats since he came into league. I watch him everyday (going back to minor leagues). The guy is one of the fastest players I’ve ever seen. I can understand his stealing being less than perfect, but his speed needs to be at least 95 on his base card. I sometimes wonder how SDS figures stats like that on some players. They will say it’s a composite of the last 3 years. Well 2 years ago Acuna almost went 40/40 in a year that he was out some with injuries. Please update the base stats on some of the better players in the game. It’s not like they are obscure players. I understand leaving room for improvement throughout the season, but they don’t often update things like speed and defense on very many cards.
Is there speed rating not based on there actual timed speeds between bases?
Obviously not for all players. They have Acuna stuck on 89 speed and around 69 for stealing.

Actually ya, for all active players who played in the previous year, they get speed ratings figured out from scaling off of statcast and other data.
Acuna at 89 makes sense really.. and steal rating makes sense too. His last full season he was caught about 25% of the time. -

Acuna at 89 makes sense really.. and steal rating makes sense too. His last full season he was caught about 25% of the time. Then Tatis should have the same speed rating as Acuna. On Statcast they both have the same overall speed, but Acuna is actually higher up on the list by a few spots. Tatis is given a 94 speed on his live series card, but Acuna has an 89. They both have similar steal ratings but Tatis is also given a 90 BR AGG to Acuna’s 73. They will also have to eventually increase Acuna’s Vision stat. The dude isn’t striking out much this year. He’s matured at the plate and not swinging at bad pitches like he used to. At least they finally have him arm strength.
PS Acuna’s last full season he stole 37 bases out of 46 attempts. Pretty sure that’s around 80%. He was 89% last year and 100% this year so far.

Corbin Burnes would be a big jump but has pitched at a diamond level so far, Kris Bryant has a smaller jump... Probably not diamond this first update but next if he continues at his current pace.
