I started my ballplayer with the slick fielder perk, allowing me to set him as a catcher.

However, once I reached the silver+ level of perks however, any of the slick fielder options set C as a secondary position. Normally this would likely be fine, but my "C" constantly drops pitches that are in the zone (regularly requiring that I throw out a runner at 1st on a strikeout). Also when attempting to throw out a runner, you get the "out of position" meter, which makes it impossible since every throw results in a double clutch crow hop, where even the slowest guys are already at the bag before you even get the throw off.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or have seen this themselves?

Yes I have the same problem. When I use my catcher from RTTS on my DD team it shows him as a 3B and there is no secondary position where catcher should be listed. He does ok on my RTTS team at catcher but on my DD team he drops every other pitch. The only way to fix it is to go back to the bronze "slick fielder" archetype. The diamond archetype has him as a 3B and catcher is listed 2nd which should make catcher his secondary position I would think.

THIS IS SO STUPID, SDS. PATCH THIS. No one knows why you changed the whole thing. To gain what... Confusion by the whole community? If so, you succeeded. The CAP thing is beyond screwed up.

Go to catcher. Sub. Out of position. Make sure not in pitcher rotation or not already at a position.

@Panzershrek1980_XBL yes, but if you read my original post, putting your CAP in at catcher seems to cause him to behave as if he is out of position, getting huge defensive penalties. This to me, does not seem that this is functionally working.
