I think I did something dumb

So, I decided I would just play some homerun derby last night, because sometimes you just want to hit dingers. Then I read today that if you play that mode it stops you getting xp everywhere, and lo and behold, I haven't earned any xp today.

What can I do about this? I just double checked after a short game and it said so much xp, but didn't add to my total.

I have a friend on Xbox that was able to get all the Achievements for homeruns. Probably used Derby but i'll ask him if his xp stopped.
