Looking at the lineup i would say, that the guy grinded his game like a madman. As for creditcard comment, its none of your buisness how much or where people spend their money.
For someone who grinded his game like a madman, he kind of sucked.

If you’re not going to try to play legit
What's not legit about taking the allowed time between pitches?
He should have beat me 20-0, not 6-3. lolI just looked up his lineup:
Henderson, LF
Trout, CF
Gallo, 3B
Perez, C
Mazara, RF
Smith, 1B
Goodrum, SS
Fletcher, 2B
Sanchez, PThe game's been out a week.
6 of his starters can only earned from grinding the game via TA programs, 1 can be earned for free from the 1st inning program.
Again not sure what point you are making here as he looks to have put in the work to get a good team

So you're new to the game and these forums so first, welcome! Second, you should know that this game is different and there are a bunch of ways to earn an excellent team and that generally on the forums we don't shame anyone for how they choose to spend their time or money or get lucky with pulls. You won't find many friendly responses from that approach. Also, you should know that anyone can check your game history and see that you lost 6-2 and were outhit 10-5 and only struck out 3 batters while striking out 12 times yourself and his team had a lot of cards only available by grinding so you stretched some truths/lied about some pointless facts in your post. I understand frustration, but take this as a learning opportunity and move on. I am by no means the sheriff of the forums or even a big poster so you do you, but don't expect much support.

You LIED about his team said it was all over 98s then said he bought his team shared his line up and it's only players that can earned from game play so you LIED again. You are not being attacked you are being called out for being a lier.
The only point you have made that is true is that if you have the skill no matter the team you can be competitive but at the end of the day it holds no value after you LIED!!!!

This lineup shows no indication of someone spending money. Maybe in madden or 2k this would be considered spending a lot of money but it can easily be grinded.
Literally finish all team affinity's which some people can just skip straight to the boss and beat them so they are able to finish team affinity really quick. Combine that with pack luck, being able to beat cpu on hof or legend, conquest, moments, flipping stubs on market, and first innings xp you pretty much have tons of ways to get the cards with literally no money spent.

You come across pretty bad in your own story lol. He hit a homerun and you acted like a child after that hahah.

It's kind of ridiculous.
I'm a first year player on xbox and I have spent the first week learning the game and playing single player modes.
So last night I figure I would start getting into ranked seasons online. My record was 2-1 from giving it a shot on day 1 and of course I'm still in the weakest division, Spring Training or whatever it's called.
I fire it up and it matches me to a PlayStation player who was still in spring training as well, and his record was 0-0, this was his first RS game. I figured it would be an evenly matched game... lol
This guy must have gotten hold of daddy's credit card because he had a level 98 or higher diamond player in every spot. The game starts, I'm the home team. My first pitch, he jacks for a single shot HR. Then he sends me a friendly retire message, as if saying I should just quit now... lol, I decline, game on.
I precede to strike out his next 3 batters, then he comes in and starts pitching in rapid fire fashion. One pitch after another with like no time off between pitches. 1, 2, 3 i'm out.
So new game play for me, waste as much time as possible between pitches. He was livid... Long story short, he wins 6-3 against my 82 overall team. All 6 of his runs came from 3 pitches he jacked for HRs. A single shot in first, a 3 run shot in 6th, and a two shot in the 9th. Take those 3 back and I beat him.
What I learned was it's baseball and any team can be competitive if you can pitch and hit.
it must suck to know that you lost and thought it would be cool to cry about it to random people on an internet forum

I do understand the frustration over early-year mismatches, but this is not even close to a “credit card team.” He doesn’t have Chipper, Soriano, Ortiz, or Jackie, and if I’m not mistaken, most of these guys can’t even be purchased off the market in the first place.

Ironic that you made a thread about someone using daddy's CC and then admitted you intentionally took extra time between pitches and then go on to laugh about striking a nerve with us because we respond to your whining like we should have. God squads don't get automatic wins in this game, still have to hit and make pitches. If you lost 6-3... you still likely would have lost to an even team too. I spend money on the games I play, because I can afford too... I have a good job and not much time to play and grind, to assume it's daddy's credit card just makes you sound jealous and petty.

His only card that cost stubs is trout and the collection reward Henderson. The rest of his lineup is team affinity or program rewards. He probably hasn’t spent a cent. You complained about how overpowered his team was with David fletcher on it hahah

You just posted his lineup.
By the looks of it, he most likely pulled Trout and has been grinding showdown a decent amount. Nothing in his lineup indicates that he "bought his team".
Based on your story it would appear that he was a great sport even offering a friendly quit (which would not influence your record) after noticing the miss-match. You on the other hand...
You're probably better off turning off cross-platform play (or avoid ranked in general) if seeing a lineup like that prompts this type of a response.

First and foremost there are three approaches to this game. People spend money to get the collections done because one they are content creators and do it because it’s their job. Two they actually save money to do it because they want the best cards and it’s their choice. And the third is NMS and we grind the game but still put a great team on the field, but only play when we are ready to.

Henderson, LF - 95
Trout, CF - 95
Gallo, 3B - 88
Perez, C - 88
Mazara, RF - 85
Smith, 1B - 88
Goodrum, SS - 88
Fletcher, 2B - 88
Sanchez, P - 88There are literally 2 players 95 on that team so there goes your "level 98 or higher diamond player in every spot." Also, the Trout is (technically) the only card on that team that can be bought because its the only Live Series card. Obviously he had to buy some collections to get the Henderson card but that's neither here nor there. All the 42 series (those big bad 88 overalls) can't be bought. It looks like your opponent spent the past week grinding Team Affinity stuff to build the team he wanted because every one of those cards is a No Sell.
Maybe instead of complaining about your opponents spending habits, you should use that time to hit custom practice and get good.

Want to play against teams with the same relative OVR as you?
Try Battle Royal. I'm sure they'd enjoy spanking dat booty there.

lol, you all took the post the wrong way.. I feel like I played great. I don't give a [censored] about a loss in a video game. If he wants to pitch at lighting speed, cool, when it's my turn I'll take as much time as I want. I had a great time and learned something, and no, i'll never accept a resign offer...
This isn’t Madden where a team of golds would never beat a God squad. In The Show you can absolutely beat a God squad with an 82 overall team. And when he sent you the offer he wasn’t asking you to take a loss, He was offering you a friendly quit so you wouldn’t take a loss because he saw how much of a mismatch it was - He was being generous & you repaid him by intentionally slowing down the game. If you’re not going to try to play legit then just stop now & go back to Fortnite.
Bingo right here. If you can hit then you can win in this game regardless of the cards your opponent is playing with. Any top 50 player would beat me with a silver team regardless of every player on mine being a 99 OVR.
-
As a 44 year old man I can assure you it's my wife's credit card and not my daddy's that I'm using lol

Whenever you see a headline like this you know it's someone who lost but "definitely would've won if the game had anything to do with skill" blah blah blah. Don't play games you can put money into if you are going to complain about people putting money into it. Also as others have said that's a grinded team not a bought team.
-
I pulled Trout and sold him. And I did buy $100 of stubs during early access when things were going pretty well. So I'm sure my team will look bought when I jump into RS. Not really bothered by what people's teams are as everyone has a hobby or three that they spend money on.
I still buy CDs if you want to talk about wasting money. Just had two big box sets come Friday, Plastic Ono Band and The Who Sell Out. I'm a silly [censored]!
-
When you say he has a Level 98 or higher player at every position, do you mean 88 overall? Of the lineup you posted, you listed a number of 42 series cards that start out at 88 overall - so even with Parallel maxed out, they'd be a 93. Only Henderson and Trout are "high dollar" players, and for all you know, he could have packed Trout luckily and then decided to go ahead and finish the AL West since Trout is the high value card and might as well finish out the division.
Like others have said, not really sure what your angle is here talking about a "credit card" lineup because a) he did offer you a friendly quit which you declined and b) his lineup is mostly a grind lineup with Trout/Henderson and there's no way you know how he obtained those cards (luck or credit card to buy stubs)

Dont worry bro your new here. Let me help you out.
People here fact check...yup...they will go into the game history of someone they dont know mind you to find any crack in your story. Notice the 98 overall comment was destroyed? They follow every nook and crannie of this game. Ask them how many silver first baseman's born in California have 78 vision or above...without hesitation they will know. So tread lightly.
-
Definitely a huge advantage doing collections. Big difference hitting between Big Papi and Max Muncy. Papi will get hits and HR's on tons of balls Muncy fouls off. Maybe they flipped stubbs and grinded until now. You never know. Regardless, even if they did purchase it is their money to do what the want.
Besides the servers I am only having a few issues with this game right now:
I have now given up 3 HR's completely out of the first circle and almost out of the 2nd one. Took a screen shot on the one last night that helped me get my first loss in RS. Quite a few bloopers and bleeders didn't help either.Making a thread on the other one because it is a big issue.
