Expensive guys

Are any of the real expensive guys on the market guys I just have to get? I just can’t bring myself to spend that much in one guy even though I have plenty of stubs. Are Gagne, Foxx, Sale, Reggie, Minoso, Posada, Kimbrel, McCovey, Carew guys I really need to get and/or try out?
I’ve actually been spending some stubs on guys to try out, but not sure if I’m missing out becuase I have a hard time spending that much for a single guy. Are any of those guys so good that I just have to bite the bullet and do it?

I went out of my way to spend 735k on Sale. Enjoy him so far, 2 games, only 7 innings pitched due to quits but so far I like him.

Of those mentioned, Posada, Foxx, Gagne. I bought Sale at 190k so I can’t see his current price value for a card you don’t have control over if he’s selected or not. If you don’t already have them, add Ruth and Chipper to that expensive guy wish list.

I’ve got Ruth and Chipper. Don’t know if I’m better off buying a bunch of guys and just having fun, or buying some of the expensive guys (mostly looking at Gagne, Foxx, Sale or Posada) to really make my RS team as good as it can be.

Sale. Ruth and Posada might be worth it. The rest definitely NOT. Unless you have unlimited stubs and don’t care.
Assuming you don’t really nobody is.
If someone says otherwise ask them what there OPS is with that card and 3 similar cards it will get real quiet. TRUST ME.

Foxx, Chipper, Ruth, Posada, Gagne are all worth it, I know some guys swear by Carew as well but I haven't used him.

Gagne and Kimbrel have been DOMINANT for me.

going to be Back on topic. The five tool guys aren’t the super expensive ones. Seems the thing the expensive guys have in common is low speed and poor defense

Chipper is definitely worth it, Ruth also for sure.
I don't have SS Sale but a ton of people here vouch for him, I just can't pay 600k stubs or more for a pitcher who you won't get to play with consistently.
Others like Reggie, Minoso and Carew are high priced due to their being rarely selected and in short supply. I'm sure you can find comparable players with similar stats (or better) for much less -
So basically it’s Chipper and Ruth (who I already have), Gagne and maybe Foxx, Posada and Sale?

I don't think Sale is worth it, doesn't have a great pitch selection, pretty easy to read and then to top it off, there's a chance you might not actually pitch him often.
But who you said are all worth it
Foxx
Ruth
Chipper
Posada
Gagneare all worth it.

I don’t think any of those are worth the current market price. I’ve got 800k and would love to get chipper and Gagne but that ain’t happening.
