Why isn't me SP energy replenishing?

I am playing conquest so I dont know if it is like this in other DD games.
I started Pedro Martinez my first game. To start the game his energy was like 60-65% full for some reason. I've played 2 more games since then and the bar is only about 25-30% full. What's even weirder is all my other SP have the same energy level as Pedro even the ones who havent pitched....

Conquest games always start not at full energy because the game is 3 innings

Yeah but isn’t weird that his pitchers aren’t starting “fresh” in the next games?

exactly and the ones I haven't used are depleted the same amount as the pitchers I have used...

Does Pedro start at the same energy every time?

In conquest they will always start with the same energy. You can throw your ace out there 10 times in a row and he will start with the same energy.
Yeah it’s supposed to but he’s saying that his pitchers aren’t.
