I haven’t read through all of the 200 posts below yet so this may have already been mentioned (apologies if so).
But you’ve just suggested to play the two other modes that are also presently bug ridden
Might I suggest starting a Franchise world instead? Spring Training is a good way to get in some practice (too bad the games don’t end at 9 innings if they’re tied though).

At least the Xbox guys are getting the 'Authentic' SDS experience that we have got for years now
Spoiler for the next sequel : They will change hitting without anyone asking and make it worse.

They've given out packs/stubs in previous years for the same issue. I'm sure they'll be doing it again since this is the worst it's ever been.
it's annoying that I paid a $100 just to get a few packs of some sub par players who I can buy for 1000 stubs in the marketplace. . they better be some [censored] good packs, but if everyone gets them what was the point of getting the early release... lesson learned... never buy early release of anything. Waste of money and time.

I wal also thinking about that. Yesterday I've been kicked out of the game many times. I played just a conquest, because I was afraid to play anything else. But the twitch streamers were playing RS like there is no problem and they are always online.
I'm starting to think, they are on some kind of VIP servers.

I played 3 ranked games today. I won one game that played decent, the other 2 that were awful I just quit out of instead of wasting time and getting pissed off.
It took me an hour to put in buy orders for the rays, jays, Red Sox and New York. A hour due to the slow [censored] market. They need to figure this out -

It's a shame because last year worked really good the servers! I paid 109$ in canada for this game. To find out no created stadium, can't get my hands on a ps5 at all for over 6 months! And to find out Xbox users get game for free. Why should I even pay for a game I can't play? Lol. This is a complete joke. I'm getting to point I want my money back

Just lost another game. It's my fault for not anticipating an outage, excuse me "maintenance" every single day.

From my preorder packs, There were 5 different packs that I lost when trying to open them and the game servers were crashing at launch. 1 was equipment. 2 Balling is a Habbit packs. 2 Regular Packs.
I then lost the Evolution Giambi Card somehow as I’m able to complete the missions and moments just not with the Rookie card as it’s not in my collection.
Then A few days later, I completed the first inning conquest map and obtained 6 packs from competing that. I opened the first pack and the servers crashed again only to come back on and see all 6 packs gone.
I’ve reached out to support via email with no luck of resolving this yet.

What happened to this game
It's not just the servers. Balls getting stuck in players hands, runners advancing on their own, etc. Very sad to see it this year. -

Yesterday was over 90 minutes. We're right at an 54 minutes now. Who knows, maybe it'll come out of maintenance mode for more than 3 hours or so at a time this afternoon.

I know that the MLBTS servers are Amazon Web Services (AWS) based. Since Amazon charges for capacity, I am HOPING that SDS is ponying up more money to AWS to buy additional capacity (both server and database). Hopefully the money that Microsoft must have paid SDS to allow for the unlimited GamePass usage will support this expanded capacity.
If SDS seriously underestimated the load that all the GamePass users would add, and doesn't have the $ to buy more capacity from AWS, we're all screwed. I will be upset after buying a PS5, a new HDMI 2.1 TV, and $85 for the Jackie Robinson edition primarily to play MLBTS, if they don't fix this..
