Infielder fielding animations. I can actually charge the baseball now on soft hit infield balls and get rid of it quickly. This is great.

Gameplay wise this might be the best show in 3 years or more IMO....for now. Fielding feels great, not as many clunky canned animations.

I don’t want to jinx it but aside from a few games which I’m going to pin on bad connection. Gameplay has been great

Definitely not much to complain about in terms of pitching or check swings either IMO

Although that's true, I refrain myself from praise in those area's of the game purposefully. The patches will come at some point and tweaks will be made, so I just wanna see how everything unfolds first. But these animations are here to stay for the entire game cycle.

I dont mind if they make tweaks once the big boy cards come out, they are almost essential to keep balance, but not a week in lol heres to hoping they can fight their urges to drop a week one patch🍻

Strangely, gameplay-wise, my biggest issue is fielding. Hitting feels fine and pitching feels much improved from last year. But I've had several instances of infield bobbles, particularly on charging the ball like you said. And, still, there isn't a lot of urgency from fielders in reacting to plays/throwing the ball.

It's not make-or-break for me. It's not that bad. But I've had some issues.

What kind of fielders are you using? I've had those experiences with Juan Soto and guys with subpar infield defense, but Lindor, Tatis and Machado make all the plays effortlessly as they should.

Yes...And it’s made even the best bunters not have as high success rates. Love it.

I’ve had errors on simple plays by 99 Jackie and LS Story. If it was a poor fielder, it wouldn’t bother me as much.

I've noticed in the past month or so that this doesn't exist anymore.

I can no longer charge the ball like I did in the early weeks of the game. Infielders chill flat footed waiting for the ball like previously. Have you or anyone else noticed the same?

    I haven't really noticed a difference honestly.

Love the gameplay this year. Only complaints are pop flies that occasionally doink off my fielder’s head and pitch speeds changing with difficulties.

It’s the best since ‘17. Still not sure if it’s better than ‘17 overall. Some things are better for sure.
