anyone help me please

i just started my diamond dynasty today and i was going through the starter missions and when i got to the get 3 outs and don’t let the other team score one every time i load it up to pitch it won’t let me select a pitch or nothing and then when i go to the pause menu it freezes and i can’t even move my joy sticks to select exit or anything so i have to restart my whole game but i have done it like 7 times now can anyone help me it will be much appreciated.

Take out the cartridge and blow the dust out, then try again.
