Star mark with number on some cards. What is it?

Some of my DD cards have a red and blue star wITH a number overplayed in the lower right corner. Anyone know what this is?

Its either inside edge which is for whoever the live series player is playing against on that day or theres the new parallel XP thing where your players upgrade +1 stat as you move along if you press triangle on any of the DD main pages you can check out how it all works in the handbook
