The showdown itself isn’t bad, the connection issues make it unplayable.

This year they added perks like exit velocity when behind in the count, ahead in the count, or when losing (the best one to get), or with no runners on, etc. I just go in with 3 of these equipped, so that helps fly [censored] leave the yard and gap shots make the wall quicker.
The best new one: diamond exit boost on normal swings...

We are aware of the skill gap. All I’m saying is that you shouldn’t throw a tantrum and quit after two days because it’s hard. That’s what’s annoying

I was 0- for the century on showdowns (minus the gimme beginner on) last year. Won my first this year on my first try.

Of course there are, but compared to last year they could not have possibly made showdown any easier.

I believe that was a perk last year. I was referring to the new exit velocity perks. But yes, that one is the overall best one to get.

3 attempts, 3 unhandled server errors, all in the first boss battle, annoying because it's so easy to hit him for doubles.
Ah well, at least it's not James Paxton in the Extreme from last year. That guy was my nightmare fuel.

Work the bosses. Take until 2 strikes, try to get diamond rally time perk.

Actually; they are on Veteran. Nit much different though.

Ahh, my first 'Gut Gud,' post of the year. How bout before you tell someone to 'get better' you know something about them. Not going into detail on an MB, buy I can say that I play for fun. Getting screwed out if winning something due to something that has happened EVERY YEAR is frustrating.

Ahh, my first 'Gut Gud,' post of the year. How bout before you tell someone to 'get better' you know something about them. Not going into detail on an MB, buy I can say that I play for fun. Getting screwed out if winning something due to something that has happened EVERY YEAR is frustrating.

TA showdown missions are all rookie? I haven't even looked at them yet, but if that is the case I'll be grinding that tonight along with conquest..

Yeah. Got frustrated. Just lost another 12-11. Had the tying run in first with the winning run up to bat, three seperate times, and proceeded to hit into three double plays to end it.

Would be nice if SDS allowed us to earn pxp and use the attribute boosts from pxp in showdowns. That way, it would feel like you are actually making some progress and it would also make it easier for people who are struggling to finish showdowns so long as you put in the time.

Showdown is easy people will still complain no matter how easy or dum down they make it . at this point people just wanna be handed the vouchers like come on son practice and stay with it believe in yourself

It’s kind of lame how players who have figured out how to play the mode just flex on the newer frustrated players. There’s a lot to be frustrated with about these modes. Instead of taking a dump on them, why not help them? Give some useful tips.
Like unfortunately, even on the easier difficulties, you kinda have to work the count. It’s a drag, I know, but if you just swing aggressively early and often, things will not go well. Now I’m not saying take to two strikes every hitter, but pitcher confidence is a real thing in this game.
Let’s all play nice ok?
