Conquest Diamond map is kicking my behind

9-2, 7-2 advantages are getting wiped so easy! 3 straight 7-2 beat 0-2. And then this 9-2. Frustrating.

Man, I am ready to give up on this map. I can barely make any progress. I usually breeze through all conquest maps. The CPU is insane on this Diamond one. After every simulated win they take multiple territories. Their numbers are increasing so fast. They attacked my stronghold with a 2-1 advantage lol. Dont think I have seen that before. And as mentioned above, the simulation is crazy hard.

Go slow. Fortify every boundary equal to your borders. Get as many territories as possible to start. Go for the Rockies first. Steal fans every turn from them. Then go Seattle next.

I never, ever leave a stronghold without at least one layer of defenders surrounding it.
But yes, the attacking team seems to be at a disadvantage, and from what I have seen the same holds true for the CPU.
One trick - Reinforce one square. Skip the other rounds, reinforce that square again to double your numbers. It is also useful for when you want to lower the difficulty against a stronghold.

Did you ever finish? I’m at the end but it says 171/172 territories. Don’t see anything about it anywhere.

It’s the same for me on the TA one. I’ve got three strongholds but can barely protect my territories. I’ve lost 7-2 sims multiple times. As soon an the sim ends, before I even click on ok that I’ve won, the cpu is right back at it aggressively.
Add to that the well hit balls that get run down, the diving catches on perfect swings, and the bronze and silver pitchers constantly throwing borderline pitches with like 60 offspeed, and it is clear it has been beefed up to slow our progress. It takes a lot of the fun out of it, for me.

I haven't done the big conquest map yet but I did all the others fairly quickly. Way too many times though, I would lose a whack of fans simulating easy wins on teams that have zero strongholds. I hate that more than anything with the [censored] simming.

I had no problem stealing 14m fans. Tried stealing 1m fans eight times. Was up 4-0 in third inning and lost 6-5 in 7 innings.
