He absolutely did not. Maybe 400, but he definitely wasn't anywhere near 700k

It's always tough to say. Last year being tied to three excellent cards in Biggio, Sheffield and Mantle -- he was surprisingly cheap, at least compared to some of the past years.
This year, I'm not sure folks are really going to be that stoked on the Live Series collection once some of the more heavy hitters start trickling out. But that is just my guess. I'm going to go for it because I want that Chipper.

Given how glitchy last year's Chipper was (he absolutely RAKED for me in every online mode and I'm about a 650-700 at best) I have to figure this year's 99 is going to be a god-squad level beast.

Yeah, there's not much of a chance of that. Maybe in December when the game winds down -- otherwise he'll likely hover around 300-360K give or take.

Here's the thing though. With the new parallels he can be a 99+. Part of my (perhaps skewed) rationale to buy him even at $360K so as to upgrade him in USA MAP.
