I’m very very disappointed about this too. Found out about it as I started to play MLB The Show 21 on my PS5 at launch time, flash drive full of music in hand, all ready to go. Wow, what a letdown.
Importing my own music into SOTS and listening to it while playing the game was an integral part of my MLB The Show experience in past years. I don’t understand why it wasn’t possible on the PS5. I suppose there must have been a reason. I’m wondering if there is a chance it will be reinstated?I agree 100%. I really hope there is a way it can be reinstated. It’s such a great feature and it’s a shame we can’t enjoy it on next gen.
For anyone who is curious, playing the PS4 version on a PS5 allows you to use sounds of the show. However, I’ve noticed that every time I boot the game back up I have to manually go in and add the songs to the playlist again, even though I’ve done it before. Not sure if this happens when playing on a PS4 as I haven’t tested it. -
I hope they bring this back for ‘22... I know it’s kinda silly and it was too much work for some people, but I really enjoyed SOTS. It made the game more immersive.

As much time as I spend in the menus doing things for Diamond Dynasty, not having Sounds of the Show is a HUGE disappointment. Having to listen to a very limited selection of songs that are mostly garbage to my ears is annoying. I guess I turn the music off completely in the game and queue up Spotify or something...
