Do you think the Show will be released late every year now? or was this just because of covid and the new gen? Im just getting anxious and I feel like I should be playing the new show already, thats all lol

Yeah it will go back to an earlier release. There's nothing profitable about waiting until after the season starts.

I agree. This year was a matter of developing a new platform version (XBox) and a new generation version (XBseriesX, PS5). Its amazing they are going to get it out by mid. They barely seemed to have batted an eye and between COVID and all the new versions they need to release this year, it must have been many times the normal work load.

Im sure next year they will aim to get it out before opening day.

One potential upside for the late release: Opening Day rookies (Akil Baddoo, Kohei Arihara) should be in the game at launch.
