I liked a lot of the changes but I have to say I'm still underwhelmed. Why? I wanted more stated and discussed.

I still want custom draft classes. And we can pretty much rule this one out of another year. Maybe it was too much to expect this year but just seems so simple.

I wanted rain outs with re-scheduled double headers. This was done back in MVP 05 so long over due.

I wanted Single A teams. Again, this was another thing done back in MVP 05 but they still can't give us that.

I wanted rotating inter-league schedule in New Years. The lack of mention of this makes me think we won't get that again. And that should have happened years ago.

Now that I've gotten my complains out of the way, there was a lot to like. I do like the changes in budgets, progression and stuff. Definitely looking forward to trying this out.

Really love the fact I can change stadiums for 30 teams. I know some teams will either move or at least finally get a new stadium in my Franchise. Really excited for this.

New menus look cool but not really what I call a "Franchise upgrade." Still look forward to trying them out and judging them once in play but seems to be a weak thing to feature as an upgrade to the mode.

March to October is who I blame for Franchise not getting more improvements. I don't like that mode. I won't play that mode. I don't know anyone who plays it but since they came up with it all I've seen it do is take resources away from Franchise. I sadly believe it is here to stay but I wish they'd not give me the feeling it is the reason Franchise isn't getting more. Maybe if Franchise was treated like Road to the Show and not being forced to share a stream with a lesser mode I wouldn't feel that way.

Now we can also hope that maybe some of what we want (rotating interleague, rain outs, etc.) are actually in but they just didn't feel they were big enough to mention in the stream. I doubt that but who knows.

Bottom line is that feed isn't really going to get those of us Franchise gamers who have felt ignored that few years to feel differently about this years game. It seems once again we got the fewest improvements and they should have figured out how to get us more.

They love to say, "we listened to the community" but they still ignore basic requests year after year. Its time to get

And those are my thoughts on Franchise.

Did they address the aggressive regression and lack of progression for prospects?

I don't recall it being addressed other than the new "depth charts" feature allowing you to see when a prospect might make the majors. They might have and I missed it though but I don't recall it.

Lame. Thats my biggest gripe with franchise mode. I simmed 5 years ahead and most 22-23 yo Prospects (now 5 years later) were still in the high 70s low 80s. Most of the A Pot closers who only have a fastball and a slider and started as a 40-50 OVR were only 60-70, and they should be entering their prime at the age of 27-28. To boot, power almost disappears all together, its really disappointing.

To add to that Trevor Story had declined to an 80, Trout to like a 75.

Yes they did. 3mins 55 secs timestamp of video. They touched on it in MTO as well. And with the new player logic and trade logic this mode is set to flourish more in future games. It is an excellent concept.

I am not sure why Franchise fans expect anything else but disappointment at this point. It has been happening yearly for 5 or 10 years. They made some nice changes this year but the long laundry list of items franchise fans want in the game will never happen.

Why? It is the least played of the three major modes of the game (by a pretty large margin last time they gave us numbers) and they have not found a way to monetize it.

Persoanlly, I use Out of The Park Baseball for franchise and The Show for Diamond Dynasty and RTTS.

Out of the park baseball is great, although I can see why some don't like it, simply because you aren't choosing what pitches to throw or actually swing the bat yourself. That being said you are exactly correct. Spot on post

Stadium creator is probably the #1 thing that franchise players (for some reason) have wanted for years; it also would have taken up significant resources to implement. Surely that’s listening?

Also improved trade logic is another thing that has been requested by franchise players for years.
