If Stadium Creator is H2H, You Better Fix Home Hunting

I posted this General discussion. There is a tid bit in video where it says "Your field Your Rules!"

This will be an utter mess if created stadiums can be used h2h AND home hunting isn’t fixed. You will have far, far more people home hunting if they want to use created stadiums, thus meaning even more rotation screen back outs and more time to get into an actual match (to say nothing of the awfulness some of these stadiums will be).
We have to remember though that there more ways to play Diamond Dynasty than Ranked and Events. Maybe they give us the ability to choose whether we want to be home or away in Conquest games? Or they just allow us to use them in Play vs CPU games?
-
There's almost no chance that created stadiums are going to be cleared for online head to head outside of maybe friendlies. Home hunting needs fixed in general though.

I dunno? What's the difference in someone choosing shippett or polo as opposed to someone creating one where harder to hit Hr? Just asking not being obtuse or anything just curious?

The biggest issue to me, with the limited info we have so far, is that allowing it to be used in ranked or events means that they would need to limit players so that they only match up with those of the same console generation. That could severely limit PS5 and Series X users as the player base will be nowhere near as large.

Well ranked and events i agree we will have to wait and see @Developer stream proabally.
There is nothing saying you can't download stadium if on ps4 just says creator is for next gen. Also it shows in video share with "Community" and then "customize" to your liking.
So i'm wondering if sombody uploads a blank stadium to vault then last gen users might have the decorative items at thier disposal to fit what they want? Might be a limit to how many items can be placed to prevent lag? I dunno just speculating. But it did say share with community i know sds recognizes all systems as part of community.
Food for thought.

I honestly think that Stadium creator can NEVER work in H2H modes.
Why you ask?
Because in order for the graphics to be able to show in BOTH screens; they have to somehow be available on both systems.
Not if created stadiums are stored on the game server... we can see each other's created uniforms and logos can't we? This is no different.

Yes. But all the stuff needed to create logos and uniforms are on this gen's consoles. So it's universal.
If they only all the option to create a stadium on next gen console; their may be coding that can only be viewed with the better graphics.
If it can't be viewed with a PS4, even if it's in the vault, you wouldn't be able to download it into the PS4.

Stadiums are very different. The bandwidth to download the art for the stadiums is much more intensive than the what is needed for uniforms and logos so it is very different. Every console already has the uniform models and textures. Custom uniforms is a fairly simple matter of coloring the default uniforms with the proper colors.
Downloading stadium assets for every custom park you play in simply unreasonable. These are not simply painted backdrops but full 3D models and textures.
Not to mention that the PS4 can sometimes still struggle with frame rates in large complex Stadiums. It is why so many online players still choose minor league stadiums for their home. Imagine some of the monstrosities PS5 players will create that they could get to run smoothly that would cause a PS4 to struggle.

Who's to say playing in created stadiums on PS4 won't be that dumbed down? It's certainly not impossible to do and I'd bet any of amount of money created stadiums will be available in online play. You don't spend resources for a headlining feature like this just to leave it out of the most played mode.

I’m a rookie, but how do you know if you’re home or not???

Home pitches first bats last.

If there is a lag, when you are choosing pitcher, you are away team

I hear what you are saying but having hard time understanding the logic.
I have PGA 2K21 and it has golf course design with objects that can be placed in it i assumed those objects were 3d and you can place then, form terrain, change background there is alot you can do with it and i have it on ps4. I can do alot of things with it.
So when you tell me i cant place 3d objects b/c it's complicated for ps4, and i was already doing it for past 8 months it confused me. I dunno maybe these objects in golf game are not 3d, but i assure you the concept of placing looks the same to me.
So i don't know. Somebody do a search on you tube for crazycanuck PGA2K21 course design placing objects tutorial in thread for reference plz? I am on ps i can't copy n paste link.

The potential issue is that if you match up with an opponent with a custom stadium, you would then need to download that stadium prior to your game. Assuming that the stadium file (or however it is stored) is quite big, this would increase the amount of time the game takes to start.
Existing stadia are already on the system so that’s not an issue for them.

Possibly, but as i stated earlier video only says that the "Stadium Creator" is on next gen. And also in video it says share with "Community" and "Customize." One has to assume when they say community it is including all consoles.
So perhaps the placeable items will be available to everyone even if offline only. You download a stadium and customize how you want for franchise or vs CPU DD.
The 2 little icons in top right indicate that there is a max amount of items that can be placed possibly. PGA 2k has a limit to amount of objects placed.
I dunno just a thought i came up with since it said share with Community i figured that meant any1 could download and customize. In PGA 2K you do not have to download course. So i dunno i'm not trying to argue with any1 just being optimistic.
So like while dimensions of ball park may be set in stone and unchangeable, but maybe seating and other decorative stuff may not.
