Cards lost?

Bought the deluxe edition. Opened my packs. Got some diamond and golds. Game says I dont have an online team yet......ok.
Created a team In Diamond Dynasty. Go to my roster and all cards from diamond and gold packs are gone. Are these cards gone for good?Please tell me I didnt spend $100 to end up with nothing extra.
