Unsellable Team Packs at 10 Affinity points

So I managed to pull Lindor, so I decided to finish the AL Central collection since the Indians are the only team in that division with diamonds.
In the team Affinity program, you get team packs with 4 live series players at 10 affinity points. Coincidentally, it’s also 10 affinity points rewarded for completing a team collection. So when I finished the AL Central, I got 5 team packs for all of those teams....the issue? Every card in it was worthless to me. How so? You have to lock in the player cards to complete the collection. Unlike previous years, you cannot quicksell locked in cards. The packs that you receive have 4 live series players in them ALSO unsellable. So you’re giving me cards that I obviously already have since I locked in the collection and like my locked in collection, they too cannot be resold. I got 2 Soler’s in the Royals packs, giving me a grand total of 3 unsellable cards for him.
Anyone who chooses to do collections first are screwed with these packs. You’re guaranteed to get cards of players that you 100% already have locked in from your collection and you can’t get anything valuable for any of it because all of the cards in it are unsellable.

Easy way to get to the 10 pts is each team has a small stat mission for 5pts then either offline innings for other 5 or online inning plus the moment.

Yea I don’t think they really thought it through there’s no reason those packs should be unsellable. I guess just use them for exchanges?

I wonder if they’ll reverse this decision to not be able to quicksell or exchange locked in items. It’s kind of dumb. I noticed that also about the affinity pack, that’s why I haven’t been locking anyone in yet. There are other situations where you’ll end up with unsellable dupes if you aren’t careful (I almost locked in some MLB stadiums into the collection but then I first checked if hey were in the team Affinity. Sure enough, if I would have locked them in and then got them in Team Affinity, I would have had more unsellable duplicates. Already going to have one as I got Oakland stadium in the preset and then I’ll get it again in the As team Affinity.
Also, I somehow got two Oliver Drakes right as the game started (must have been in that low-ranked team they start you with). So I have two guys I can’t sell? Ridiculous

Something must be done about this Sds.Yep this is the real issue, lack of ability to exchange locked cards. Not quick selling is fine as we choose to lock them for a purpose but not exchanging is ridiculous.

Not that it is a big deal, but I got 2 JA Happs in my Yankees affinity pack. I mean you’d think they’d at least prevent dupes in the same pack since they are unsellable/unexchangeable.

Really need a reversal on this. There is no way to spin these rewards. Once I saw they couldn't be exchanged I knew this was going to be a big problem. I thought they would be for exchanges in the next league affinity you did for that rivals exchange mission.

Yes ..we should definitely be able to exchange them....makes no sense at all.

Let’s bump this; I’m pretty sure it comes from separate decisions that came into conflict without realizing it.

BUMP. Im glad people are realizing how much of a crappy move this is on SDS. All this does is price out people from the collection rewards it does NOTHING GOOD

I just want to be able to sell my duplicates from team affinity...or at the least exchange them

Calm down, like I said the way it works it looks to me like an unwanted/unexpected result. It needs to be brought to their attention, sure, but name-calling won’t get you anywhere. These guys consult their base a lot more than other companies. I noticed too, that they will often address issues from the previous year in their pre-release streams; things they didn’t address during the year probably because they couldn’t do anything during the cycle.

I am hearing people/ SDS partners say this is an intentional feature
