Idea for a new card type
-
So I was in YouTube and started talking via comments with the Poster of the video we got on the topic of the difference Cards I happened to mention I was slightly disappointed that SDS gave Kershaw a Cy Young from 2014 when he also won the MVP (its very difficult for a pitcher to win MVP so I had hoped they would do that) the YouTuber happened to mention Miggy and his SS when he could have gotten a Triple crown card so his idea was to create a new card series called untouchable and its like Nolan Ryan 7 No hitters, Ted Williams .409 average it would help expand a lot of people's baseball history knowledge in a fun way. But I thought of a what could be a better title and a better way to implement it. Call it the Legacy series and it's for hard to accomplish feats, so let's use Jackie Robinson as an example he gets a Signature Series card and when you prestige his card it changes and has a fancy Legacy title and gives some history in Jackie's case broke the MLB color barrier.
Thoughts on this? To further break it down this would be a special prestige card art, special for legendary players like Jackie, Ryan, Williams any others that have accomplished rare feats

To help with the baseball history knowledge, Ted hit .406

when you pitch with him you get richard nixon as an umpire and occasionally jimmy hendrix holding a guitar comes up to bat...

I love this idea, I've been designing a ton of concept cards of late. I've been thinking a "In The Headlines" style throwback Moments similar to exactly that idea. Cards honoring specific events. The Van De Meer double no-hitter is the perfect example or Jeter's 3,000 hit as a homer versus Tampa Bay. They're almost like a glorified Topps Now card.

Post Season 1920 Bill Wambsganss. All 99 fielding attributes for his unassisted triple play in the World Series. Or Post Season Don Larsen for his 1956 perfect game. I get the rights issue.

Hall of Fame cards would be good too. They would be like signature cards but different

I'd love HoF cards. Yeah, it'd likely just be a sig card for all intents and purposes, but it would be a cool addition and set those players apart from non-HoF sig cards.

How about, one hit wonders or something along them lines..get some mark fidrych on the go

Exactly. It provides a special significance for those HOF players.

I love this!

Hall of Fame cards would be cool. They should be like SS cards now. SS cards should be for non Hall players that had 1-3 tools. Like a Willy Mo Pena SS card or a Juan Pierre SS card would be power and speed respectively. (just throwing out names off the top of my head). Since those things could be considered those players "signaturs". Something a player was known for.

i would love to see some cards news cards come out called "movers" or " on the move" to show players with their new teams. would be kinda neat. Im pretty big on not taking things from Madden and doing it like them but they have done this in the past and it is pretty cool.

If you can't get Kevin Maas, then what's the point?

HoF cards and Pats Fan Favorite Cards like Ichiro, David Ortiz, Pedro Martinez, Derek Jeter, players who were recognized for their play on the field and the excitement they brought the fans.
-
Like the Untouchable Concept too. People who have records and stats that feel far fetched and “untouchable”
Cal Ripken, Nolan Ryan, Henderson, Bonds, Aaron, Etc. -
