Beat pitches for pitchers
-
Basically looking at like which pitches throw certain pitches the best. Like Pearson’s or Johnson’s fastball, Seaver or gibsons sinker.
I just find it weird if people find that certain pitchers throw certain pitches more effective than other similarly rated pitchers. Like Cory kluber, noone in the game throws as sharp and fast as breaking slurve as he does -
Based on pitchers I've used....
(Off the top of my head)
Sinker - Orel
Fastball - Degrom, Walter, Pearson, Crochet, Dibble, Kopech, Goose
Cutter - Rivera, Kenley, Orel again, Darvish
Changeup - Gagne(vulcan),
Slider - Sale, Kershaw, Wagner
Curveball - Kershaw (12-6)
Slurve - Kluber, Goose -
I would argue that Bauer’s cutter is WAY better than Darvish’s.

I’m firing a hot take here. But other than degrom. None of the finest guys give me trouble. But I will admit I have lots of trouble with outlier guys.

I'll post a very unpopular opinion.
Guidry's slider. It's always his CB or FB that gets beat. To the point where I'm almost spamming Slider all game.
You can sit at the bottom left quadrant all game. RNG will move it slightly down or slightly in. Right handed hitters watch it land for a called strike, nub it, or swing and miss. Lefties can't touch it, or they just foul it off.
It seems to hit that perfect Sweet Spot of break, release point and speed.
Very unconventional opinion, but I've had success with him on HOF and AS.

I should probably add Arietta’s circle change to the mix, considering it gave me fits for about 6 innings last night.
Then again, don’t play when you’re tired, boys!
