Bench Pitcher energy

Im new to Diamond Dynasty. I have a Bob Gibson SP card. I have used him in only 2 games. His energy level is lower than everyone else's and continues to drop even though I don't use him. He is on my bench and periodically his energy level will fall. How do I get his energy to recharge?

You have to keep the card in rotation to regain energy.. should take maybe 4-5 games to be full
