A few minutes ago, an opponent (Ksoltis4) quit our game down 4-1 in the bottom of the 7th inning, after having the brass neck to ask for a Friendly Quit, naturally.
Giovanni Gallegos had come on in relief in the 7th, getting three quick outs.
To my surprise, the system credited Gallegos with the save. I don't remember seeing this before, although I'm glad to see quitting addressed this way.
If he was the final pitcher, and came in with the lead, he would get a save.
The quit counted it as if it was a 7 inning game.
Yes, I understand what happened. I'm wondering if it's a recent fix, as I don't remember truncated games being handled in such a way previously.
Not to nit pick but naming other players could be an issue....might wanna edit the name out.
